All the songs announced are pretty great, but I think my favorite would be Say It Ain't So. Pre Make Believe Weezer is probably one of my favorite 90's band, and it's probably my favorite song off of the blue album.

Wont get Fooled Again.
Not only would I rate this my favorite song out of the four, but the greatest song they could have possibly picked for this game. This is by far the greatest "band" performance ever recorded, and easily in my top 3 favorite songs of all time ( Cant choose between this and Paranoid Android by Radiohead as my number one)
I love all the songs so far though. All four of these are some of my favorite songs ever, and I only fault them for not choosing NIB as the Black Sabbath song.

In Bloom for sure, while not even near the best Nirvana song, its one of the best Nirvana song in terms of each instrument being good. Grohls pounding drums, Krists catchy bass, and Kurts signature Hey!, all make it a solid choice.

I have to disagree although the songs aren't bad i am still looking for some RUSH songs!

Say it Ain't So is the best. The best line is in it. the part where he goes, "Wrestle with Jimmy..." It just sounds cool.

The guitar at the second chorus in that song drives me nuts. I love it so much.

Won't Get Fooled Again. Every part in that song sounds like it will be a blast to play. In Bloom is my second favourite, followed by Paranoid.

I'm going to have to go with Say It Ain't So as my favorite song, but Won't Get Fooled Again will probably be the most fun to play.

Paranoid is the winner for me. It set the standard for all heavy metal to follow. The album specifically, but the song itself did a lot... It directly influenced Speed Metal. Just hope we can get a Symptom of the Universe download in the Live store :p

Of the four, nothing quite beats banging out those heavy-hitting fills of In Bloom. Of course, my current favorite is not yet announced ;)

Those guys at Hmx sure have great taste, nothing beats out Dave Grohl pre-Foo Fighters.

First of all, my three favorite bands are The Who, Soundgarden, and most of all, Radiohead.
I looked at your profile and saw Radiohead and Soundgarden are under your favorite bands.
Hopefully this means something:D :D :D

Say It Ain't So. I'm more into Punk and Alternative.
Geoff, I can't believe you. When the song comes out, you'd better tell us what your fav is!

I have to go with In Bloom. It's been said before, it has awesome drums (with ol' davey how could they not kick ass), an awesome bass line, rockin guitar track and the voice of Cobain.... c'mon!!
I'm also really looking forward to Say It Ain't So... This will be an awesome song to play guitar and sing along to at the same time.

The Who for sure. The who has soooooooooo many amazing songs. But the songs chosen is very good.

Say It Ain't So, only because I think it's the one I have the best chance of singing well.
It was a pretty tough decision though. These song choices are excellent.

I haven't heard "In Bloom", so I can't speak for it.
"Say It Ain't So" is a decent Weezer song. "Paranoid" is a decent Sabbath song. "Won't Get Fooled Again" is a decent Who song. I'm sure all three will be fun to play ("Won't Get Fooled" is eight and a half minutes long, but it's eight and a half minutes long of generic Who).
I voted for "Paranoid" simply because it's not getting enough love in the poll, but to tell you the truth, I don't really have a preference for any of these songs. I've heard the three I've named, and they're all decent songs, but none of them have gotten me really excited.
Here's looking forward to the next batch.

I haven't heard of any of these songs. Based on past song selections in the Guitar Hero series, and the general positive buzz in this thread, I'll just give the benefit of the doubt that they're all good selections.
I just hope the Nirvana song is better than Heart Shaped Box... that thing is damned boring.
Edit: Just listened to a few over You Tube... Rock Band's song selections dominate over the announced songs for GH3... well met.

I them all! But definitely the Who is the best one up there. I think someone mentioned it earlier but I really can't wait to see how people do Roger Daltrey's scream in Won't Get Fooled Again! Hilarity will ensue :D

I really, really like Black Sabbath, so I really, really wanted to say Paranoid.
But recently I have started listening to Nirvana, and even though I really prefer the darker music on the In Utero Album In Bloom is still really cool.
Plus, Dave Grohl is a musician that I really like for whatever reason. Even his Foo Fighter's work.

Edit: Just listened to a few over You Tube... Rock Band's song selections dominate over the announced songs for GH3... well met. I don't know, Cherub Rock and Paint It Black are pretty hard to beat... But there's been 13 songs announced for GH3, compared to only 4 for RB. When there's been 13 songs announced for RB, I'll probably agree.

The only song RB can't beat GH in is Paint It, Black.

I'd have to say Nirvana and Black Sabbath. And i know that there is alot of nirvana haters out there but if you really think about i think thats what kurt wanted was to be known for his music, even if ppl hate his music :D again just my 2-cents
