Yea I just said this on another post, but 300 bucks is a bit much. I mean it looks like it would be worth it, but I dont know if I can justify that much.

No reason to luagh at people.... if they have the money and are interested in progressing to become a real drummer then it is a solid investment.
It can double as an electronic drum set. So it is the real thing for people who can not afford a loud drum set or can not have one in their home or apartment.
No need to laugh.

Next time, make your post readable. I'm going to get it, why? Because it's a REAL drum kit, and even when you add the cost of the brain, it's still a deal.

Drum Rocker comes with two cymbals and mounting hardware out of the box, and a third cymbal is available as an optional accessory. You get to decide how you want to use the two cymbals that come with the kit – set them up as a hi-hat/crash, crash/ride or hi-hat/ride combination, then add the third cymbal to round out the kit.
Posting here for completeness

Exactly, for another $100 you can get a 10 port Alesis midi converter and some drum software and this can be your entry level kit that you learn on for the next 2-3 years. If you spend $300-400 on some real entry level drums and played them regularly you would upgrade in about the same time frame and these drums will give you the best game experience possible to boot. That's what htey're intended for and for people who have that in mind, they are a great value.

If his profile is right, it says he's 14. He can't even work at 7-11 yet. :p
I think most of us buying the Ion kit have decent enough jobs that we can throw down $300 for something like this. I'm personally out of college with a decent job and no kids so I can do this. But I probably couldn't of even owned Rock Band itself when I was 14. I had no money and my parents probably couldn't of even afforded to buy me the Special Edition.

Yea I am sure they did, but it was like you were getting more things with a guitar, drums, mic, and game.

What's so special about these kits anyways, and why do they have cymbals, I thought Rock Band 2 was gonna have the same drum setup.
