Rock Band Band

Did anyone else see that on VH1 classic? I was watching it. Well, I'm watching it now. And there was just a 5 minutes thing about a Rock Band Band. It was like a faux Behind the Music thing. Really funny, actually.

P.S. It's still on now. Go watch it!

P.P.S It's over now :(

Here's the link to the video/webpage (http://www.vh1.com/shows/events/rock_band_band/?extPop=popVspot(1572335,183033))

This is one of the best pieces of marketing I've seen. Excellent.

Very cool! A few obvious questions, Amy Lee of Evanescence and Dave Mustaine of Megadeth were shown in the video, I would view this as them promoting the game. Does that mean or could this mean the likely hood of both artists being available as DLC?

Note: Mandy Moore was also shown, so that might debunk any hopes I had, unless they include Mandy Moore too ROFL!

Discuss! :)

"She's done more for women playing plastic bass, than anyone"

Hehe, now this is where the MTV advantage kicks in.

Ah hell, I think I remember this. I was chosen to audition, but I couldn't make it to New York because it was like 2 days away.

What's with these 3rd party games only mentioning one system recently? That only said on 360 Nov 20th. The ad for the Simpsons game I've seen only mentions the PS3. So confusing.

I was thinking the same thing - Andrew WK would like ass in the game. I can imagine them putting in some Mandy Moore (it'd be more fun that Fall Out Boy, that's for sure...)
I wouldn't download it, but this has drums and electric guitar:

I wasn't worried about the Strat much before watching this, but after that one guy presses the fret buttons and makes loud clicking noises, I'm starting to get a little worried. Anyone else surprised at the loud fret-clicking noise?

Microsoft often puts up the money to fund third-party multi-platform game ads and, as a consequence, only the 360 is mentioned in the ads. I haven't heard of Sony funding any third-party multi-platform game ads, but if that Simpsons tidbit is correct, that could be an instance of Sony doing the same thing.

They said it a couple of times - the fret buttons click, the strum bar doesn't - both my Xplorers click on the fret buttons too, though - doesn't bother me at all.

The XBox 360 was a sponsor of the nationwide tour too. Sony wasn't. You have to spend money to make money...
