View Full Version : Rock Band 2: Touring? Store Demos? Marketplace Demos?

I was wondering if Rock Band 2 was going to do the same thing they did with Rock Band 1 last year and tour around to certain cities to let people try out the game. Last November, you guys had come to Best Buy in Nashville and it was fun as hell. (Big ass speakers in this Van, It was FUN.)

and if not, I was also thinking if there was going to be in-store demos like you probably still have. Like in Walmart and Best Buy. and if the demo (if any) was going to be released on the marketplace for people at home to get a shot at previewing the game?

Not sure how a download-able demo would help the game... let alone matter to PS3 users.

They'd also have to license to have a song as the demo song, so more legal fun. Also, if someone has neither GH or RB a demo is pretty much useless... unless karaoke games are their thing.

i'd like a rock band 2 xbox live demo, they released one for guitar hero 3 and it just gave you 5 songs from the game to demo, theres no licensing issues there, harmonix just has to release a 3-5 song demo, we already have instruments.

I doubt there will be a demo released because the launch of the actual game is only like 2 months away.

yeah and the demo better let you play all your DLC, all of Guitar Hero's DLC, all of Karaoke Revolution presents American Idol Encore DLC, all your mp3s, songs that I can hum in my head, and the dusty old Al Jolson 78 rpm LPs my dad left me in the basement or I'm boycotting.

Seriously though, as much as a demo would rock i'd prefer the Harmonix ninjas that would be assigned to that work on more DLC instead.
