Should I get Rock Band for Christmas, which will save me the $70 more than GH3, which I would buy with my own money right away, but have to wait another month for Rockband, or get GH3 for Christmas and buy Rock Band, which will cost me $70 more, but I wouldn't have to wait another month.

I would buy Rock Band right away and wait for GH3.

I hear GH3 has a lot of bugs in it that need to be fixed.

Ok thanks, that's what I would probably end up doing. I can play GH3 anyway while I wait, all my friends got it. And I heard in another post you got to use the strat, so are the buttons mushy and harder to push down, or are they like the xplorer fret buttons?

They felt fine as far as I can remember.

I had no problems with them, if I play the strat again I'll tell you.

ok thanks. i played woth the les paul at gamecrzy and the buttons were mushy and halfway through songs my hand would get tired. and my friends ps2 gh2 controllers like that too, and normally with my xplorer, i can get over 400k on freebird every try, but with his controller i fail it every try.

The PS2 Guitar Hero controller, the Gibson SG, is the best guitar controller in the world.

If you played with it for a couple of days straight, you'd hate going back to the X-Plorer. The frets are just the perfect distance away from each other to throw you off too much on finger switching.

I want the Les Paul to be more like the SG and I sincerely hope it is.

my friend has an sg and i thought it felt exactly the same. I guess since you started with an sg and had it for a while, the xplorer felt really hard to play, which is what im hoping it isnt like for rock band when i switch to a strat

Online? I'd rather reserve it in-store. Is it too late to do that?

Dunno. But either way it work fine. Reserve it you get it day it comes out for the same price. Online get it release day for about $11 more but you don't have to leave your house so that means your not wasting money on gas.

Does GameStop or GameCrazy have any preorder gifts?

I pre-ordered Rock band from gamestop a few days ago. No problems at all, and I'm in a very crowded area. You shouldn't have a problem reserving in store
