So how do you pick things with the microphone if there are no buttons?

I get that, but what if 4 things are plugged in? How does the controller connect?

It doesn't count as a controlling player so you can have the three other instruments and a standard controller as well as the mic. Just like in all the KR games.

In fact you should be able to use your standard 360 mic as well. Hopefully you can plug it right into the strat. That will make it easier for us mic&bass WBT guys/gals.

You can use a standard mic but you will HAVE to plug it into another controller. What you're not thinking about is that to play WBT you have to be 2 separate people. You can't plug the mic into the guitar(I'm not speaking physically, you may be able to do that) because that's 1 controller...
think of it this way: you can only sign 1 profile per controller right? same thing.

Dude, thanks for putting this here. I never go on the General Forums, and I think this is semi-appropriate for the Rock Band forum anyway...
Those pics ROCK. :D
EDIT: Is it just me, or does the plug on the mic look a little big to fit in a controller input?

Ya, I'm with you. Normally I avoid the general forum like the plague but with the release of GH3 I'm trying to get a feel for whether or not it's worth the purchase.

That's because it's a USB plug.

I was skeptical after playing the demo, but I found this game to be a blast. Me and my friends were rocking out on Expert on Co-Op Career Mode.

Ya that's the general impression I get. Hopefully I won't get a defective Les Paul.

I hope the strumming and the fret buttons are more sensitive. I miss a lot of notes because when you are doing a solo sometimes its tough with having to push the buttons too strongly.
And in the heat of a song I also get frustrated at how hard the strumming is, and I wish it were more sensitive and not feel like a button.

I really like the newer guitar controllers. The LP and Strat (ESPECIALLY THE STRAT JESUS MAN) Don't look like cheap plastic anymore.

All I've noticed so far is GH3 is extremely forgiving in hitting notes. I haven't played any of the GH's in probably a few months now and when I picked it up I was already hitting riffs that I didn't think I could hit when I was at my best. Just seemed like they were counting notes I didn't think I was even hitting.

About the defective Les Pauls I was steaming about it.
About to go in to gamestop and become a new horror movie series.
Instead I just detached the neck blew on it nintendo style and it works fine....No matter what Gen of gaming we are in blowing will never fail.
Being light headed FTW
