Post your problem/disappointment you are having with you guitar(s) for GH3 here!

I personally really enjoy the Les Paul wireless guitar (360), but my only problem is the star power activation. It will activate star power on its own sometimes and then when i try to manually activate it by tilting the guitar, i get nothing. I really sucks because that messes your streaks up and messes you up in battles.

When i use my original wired X-plorer, the star power activates whenever the hell it wants to. I rarely get to deploy it when i want to. This is very frustrating.

Do you guys think it is a software problem that can be fixed with a patch? I dont think it is a guitar issue because i have used both of my guitars and it still messes up.

If you have only used your original X-plorer and havent had any problems with activating star power or anything, vote other and describe below!

Need to add an option, "my local retailer is only selling crappy bundles with leftover GH2 controllers"

can no longer use a pick (which I have been doing since GH1) to play. The SG on PS2 registers it now as a double strum. Didn't have this problem on the 360 demo of GH3 so I'm going to return the PS2 version tomorrow and get either a Wii for free online play or 360 to use with my Explorer, or just say screw it and save the money for Rock Band (getting Rock Band anyway, but you know...)

It was terrible at first. The instructions weren't completely clear on how to sync up the dongle and the guitar and all of a sudden after 5 frustrating minutes it just sort of worked, go figure. Buttons weren't working and I was failing out on "Rock and Roll All Nite"....on hard! I then just peeked over at the other forums and some people said to make sure nothing is blocking the connection between the detachable neck and body of the guitar.

Sure enough, there was a very, very thin layer of a substance that was disrupting it.

And a few hours later I 4* "One" on the first try on expert. Big difference.

I like the feel and I haven't had a problem with the star power that so many people have had, it's not too sensitive or not sensitive enough, I think my guitar is perfect in that regard.

This was the PS3 version.

jesus christ. One kicked my ass on hard the first time through. The frustrating thing about the song is that it gets hard about 3 minutes into it, so i really recommend playing through the solo at least on practice before even attempting the song.

I started playing Hard when I got it yesterday and pop in my new Kramer Striker...damn green fret wouldnt work when it tilted horizontally and failed. Then I stuck in my Gh2 SG and 5-stared it.

Other than that its beter than the old guitars...The frets feel better but its hard to figure out where the yellow one is due the knub on it being shortened.

And its also really easy to throw star power. And the whammy bar isnt as strudy as my cherry red SG

I ended up passing on getting the wireless bundle after reading all the ****ty reviews of the Les Paul, and just got the game itself. I just bought the 360 Elite and GH2 for it last weekend, so my Xplorer is brand spankin new, but I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. starpower works just fine.

I enjoy the les paul when it works, but it actually feels a lot sturdier and solid than the x-plorer. Which actually makes it tough to switch back and forth. I can really nail the hard HOPO's with the x-plorer for some reason, but when i switched back to the les paul it felt a little less responsive. But i didnt notice it when i was playing with the LP on day one...

My orange frett was sort of off and on not working. Eventually I discovered that the neck of my LP can move in and out about 4mm and when it's pushed all the way in everything works fine. So I grabbed some electrical tape, put about 4 strips stacked on top of each other on each side of the neck and now it's locked in place pretty well, no problems since.

i bought my copy from a gamerush and they are getting more in stock tomorrow. I talked to the manager and he said i can bring it back in and exchange it, so i am happy about that. I just dont want to get an even worse one!

So i just got my new Les Paul and it works like a freaking charm. I am so happy. You know what is funny though, my original, the one that had problems activating star power, felt really sturdy and the strum bar hardly made a sound. But now i get this new one and it actually feels very cheap and almost too plasticy, kinda like a toy. The strum bar also makes a much more defined clicking sound than the last one, but i am not going to complain. It works and i am happy.

My girlfriend has it on the Wii and the first problem she encountered was that the sensor bar wasn't reading the guitar that well. She had to move the sensor bar to the bottom of the TV and, since then, it works fine. The only major complaint that I have is that the strum bar is way too sensitive at times. I'd say that in almost every other song, there was a moment when I took my fingers off the strum bar and it would go off! Mind you, the strum bar never moved during these moments so I don't know what the hell is wrong with the guitar.
