Drums - do they bounce?

Looking at all the footage out there so far, it seems the drums are pretty rigid. For anyone that has tried them at a demo, are you able to do multiple bounces? Or are we going to be stuck with doing double stroke rolls?

I was able to do diddles fairly easily. The pads have quite a bit of bounce. They aren't a balloon but not a pillow either.

I would say the feeling is similar to a practice pad that you might have learned on from school.
