- Disc Export Feature gives owners of the original Rock Band the ability to export most of the Rock Band disc tracks and upgrade them into Rock Band 2 gameplay--the first time ever in videogame history!
Anyone else worried with the word "most"? Why wouldn't it be ALL songs on the discs? I don't even care if I have to pay to play them in RB2.. but we should be able to play them all.

Maybe they're leaving 29 Fingers as unexportable.

Another big thread on this, but most people are assuming thayt Areosmith is out, and that some bands are just being pills to re-license their work....

THEY ARE CHARGING YOU TO TRANSFER MOST OF YOUR TRACKS FROM RB1 TO RB2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Music was a big focus of Microsoft's E3 press conference earlier today, and among the big reveals for rhythm game fans was the full set list for Rock Band 2. Earlier reports of the ability to import music from the original Rock Band seem to be mostly accurate, as the presentation confirmed that "most" songs will transfer over after an initial fee is paid (to be determined, but under $5).
I read this on 1up.com here's the link

I make $5 in about 10 minutes of work... Big deal?
However if they are charging us to transfer "most" then it really should be the entire disc.

I would personally rather swap discs then pay a transfer fee...no matter how small the fee

You're probably in the minority, though... no offense meant, I just honestly think most people would prefer to have all their music available to them without having to get off the couch. I know I'd pay $5 or $10 for all my RB1 tracks to be available from the RB2 disc.

Five bucks or less I'd think about it. $5.01 or more, no dice.
And if I never had to hear Suffragette City, Dead On Arrival, 29 Fingers or Maps again...well...I'd cry...tears of joy.

Hard to do when your playing in band mode. It'd be like having 2 bands instead of one.

For $5 bucks I would do it just to fix the talk-y parts that no-talk-y. Plus to have all 220+ songs all in one place and available for the challenges, setlist, etc.

I'm guessing that its gonna be the songs that were originally on the game when it came out, which probably means we won't be able to transfer downloaded content.

My disc is scratched up and starting to act weird anyway, so this is great!

Whatever, you'll get more then $5 to sell the RB1 disk to gamestop or play n trade after you transfer the songs. It's better then paying $1.99 each to get them as DLC. I'd rather they be free, but then again, I'd rather everything were free.
