I never played drums before rock band but it has made me interested now, and I want to buy a electronic set for it for higher quality and less noise (and to have a real instrument to practice with). I'll be doing the whole midi-controller thing to use them with rock band.
Since I'm such a novice I don't have any standards, but I want to get mesh heads right away since I have very noise-sensitive neighbors and I'm guessing they feel better too. Pintech drums seem like the best choice, does anyone have any experiences with pintech mesh drums?
I also don't know which actual drums I need, would 3 toms (1 as a snare), 1 bass, and 2 cymbals be enough? Does it even pay to have 3 toms if I have 2 cymbals?
For the module I am guessing td-3, because it has a lot of features without being too expensive, is there a better option at a better price?
I also need a rack and clamps/mounts, which ones should I get and where to get them?
Thanks for reading, I appreciate any comments.

Gonna make some home-made drums, will the sensors be sensitive enough? (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44268&page=50)
Hope this helps!
