View Full Version : Consideration for multiple logins on Xbox360?

One thing that always bothered me a lot about Guitar Hero II and now III is that only one Xbox360 profile can gather achievements/advance in the career at once. I'm hoping that Rock Band will be different in that a different profile can be logged onto each player and can all advance/unlock songs together. Anyone know if this is true?

That's really Microsofts call not Harmonix so that'll probably never be the case.

You're a little confused. On GH2, my buddy and I each log onto our profile, and we earn the achievements together when we play through co-op. Rock Band will be the same way.

that's not true at all. for example, in halo, two players can sign in on seperate tags on the same box and play on live. Rock Band should employ a similar situation.

Sorry. Misinterpreted. I thought he meant can you bring your character over into another profile.

The reason I ask is because I signed onto the Xbox first for GHIII, then my friend (who owns the Xbox) did, and we did career and coop career together. Later, when he went to play by himself, the band we made was not saved on his name at all, and he had to start from scratch.

Did both of you get the achievements?

I've read of some problems of both players getting achievements on co-op.

That's because the save game date (the band name and advancement in a career) is per profile. Whoever's profile is signed in is where all that save data goes. However, if two people are logged in, each with their own profile, they'll each get credit for achievements in most games.

Presumably Rock Band will be the same way.

Unfortunately, both players did not get achievements in coop.

So this leads to another question: are characters saved per profile? Will I have to log onto my friend's profile to get my character?

saved games are tied to profile. most likely a created character will be a "saved" item to your hard drive. so only accessible on your hard drive.

That's not right. it's one thing about save game progress that is said on the HD, but the achievements should come if your gamertag is logged in.
