Did I miss it? Or do I start from scratch again?
And to save some of you time: "If you can't gold star a song again, you don't deserve it!" Thank you, move along.

I dunno... the game is still a couple months down the road so thre's still time for more announcements. Don't lose hope.

I don't care about scores so much, but one of the reasons I'm so miffed about RB2 is that I put too much heart and soul into my characters and bands. Someone mentioned that I should be able to at least re-create them as all the existing clothing, hairstyles, and such would still be in RB2, but meanwhile I haven't gotten any answers regarding whether that originally came from Harmonix as opposed to a rumor mill.

I'm sure we'll get an announcement in the near future about this. That would be great if we can import our band and characters into Rock Band 2, and then have a ton of new clothing, hairstyles, tattoo, instrument, appearance, etc options so we can take our original band and characters; but give them an updated look.
And good question about importing RB1 and DLC songs into RB2 and keeping the scores. Only time will tell I guess!
One of my main concerns is that scores be transferred over. God knows, if I gotta five-star over 230 songs on four different difficulties all over again, I'm gonna go crazy. Especially if I had to do all that on three different instruments as well...

It's a completely different game experience, the scores shouldn't transfer over. As for characters, I don't really care.

I am a firm believer that scores should transfer over, if the DLC is unrestricted to what version, so should the scores.

But for songs you've already completed? How is that a different game experience? The gameplay is the same...how the accomplishments are structured will be different, but why should that mean you have to rescore every song you've already done?

I want a restart. The scores would be nice to carry over, but I can handle redoing them. Hell you may even get better scores than you did before.
I made an awesome band name and then due to a GT issue I couldn't use that name, nor remake them. I WANT THAT NAME BACK DARNIT.

why does it matter if the xfer over? they stay on ur RB1 disc and the leaderboards, and that is all that matters, if you want a nice shiny score on ur DLC on RB2 you will have to play the song over (i personally wont as i dont care about the scores for DLC on the scroll downs) also you get so much money each time you play a DLC it doesnt matter, you'll wanna do it anyways so you can get the gear for your character that wont be xfering over (and shouldn't, if you got everything for free why buy a new game? just play the old one if you dont actually want to play it).
