Some of the songs are pretty difficult. FC'ing some of these could be pretty difficult. Lots of quick chord transitions and odd timing you don't see with other bands.

Hehe, watched a full band get stomped on Young Man Blues, they actually had to retry once. I watched the chart and I'd have got my ass kicked, as well. :)

Nah, these guys only failed once. They had a dude on bass who's about average (like me) and an excellent drummer, and excellent singer, and still failed once. The guitarist carried them. :O I gotta get some points up...

This is true.

and I hate songs I can't beat. It sticks "NEW" on songs you haven't beat. It's taunting!

admittedly on a fair few of them (young man blues/who are you spring to mind), i did finish the song in the red and was fast losing the crowd at the time!

that was only on hard, i daren't even attempt expert yet!

Not that I know anything, but perhaps they skewed the initial setlist on the easy side... and now that people are proficient 6 months in, they can mix it up a little more frequently.

If you look at Rock Band 2 disc setlist thats a good example too.

I love the positioning of the BRE in Baba O'Riley, Most songs pause and then start the BRE, this just slides right into it. it's so sweet.

For the most part the DLC has skewed easy... this is payback. :)

To respond to the question posed in the topic title with a bit of snark, I would respond that the easy charts are just above the Medium charts in the selection screen :D
