I'll take all of these for DLC!
Are they all good? Hell no. Is it a big ass list? HELL YEAH!
The majority of that list is pretty generic, over the counter, and out of a cereal box, songs though (System of a Down? The Pillows? Children of Bodom? WTF?).
Now about this whole ZZ Top is metal thing...

I never said it was all metal and i did intend to make an all metal list then it hit me i liek a variety of music, so its a misleading title, but all the bands are at least mediocre

Yes, and the Mars Volta metal thing too....
Im not gonna ram you over because it was damn time somebody said Firewind and Armored Saint. Though, I havent heard much Firewind. Id prefer Dream Evil, cuz I have more listeing experience with them (their first three albums though)

Hell, mediocre is the calling card of Rock Band at this point.
And since when does BAoD know anything about metal? Leave this place, or I shall call upon Thor to smash your brains with glorious Mjolnir!

The thing is that BAoD has a different idea of what metal is.
See, while everything except metalcore, grindcore and hardcore is metal, death and black metallers think theirs is the only metal. They are like the crazy fundamentalists of the metal religion. Which is kind of crazy to think anyway, because those genres come a little later after pure metal.

Ok, first of all, no, you are wrong. Second of all, you are wrong again.
Lastly, while Black Sabbath's influence is undeniable, its completely heretic and worthy of being burnt in a pyre to say doom metal is real metal. You see, Black Sabbath were not doom. Sabbath inspired bands came MUCH after, MUCH later than TRUE metal bands, like Judas Priest and Maiden. While Sabbath is undeniably the fathers of the metal riff, I find it preposterous to say doom is the beginning. Sabbath isn't doom. Why? Because it wasn't called doom at the time. I mean, if we are gonna fight about names, then we got to keep in mind names come with a context attached to them.
Of all the subgeneres, power metal is the closest to true metal, because of the riffing and the soloing. If you can't see that, then Im sorry. Another good point is that power derived originally from speed metal. And if you are gonna come here and say Running Wild and Agent Steel isn't metal...we got a problem. Hammerfall is a good example of how power metal is so attuned to traditional heavy metal, in my opinion.
Stop associating power metal with ****ing Sonata Arctica and Dragonforce!
Lets go beyond genre naming. Blind Guardian, Helloween, Brainstorm, Jag Panzer, Hammerfall...if you think thats *****, man....may Rob Halford have mercy on your soul.

You've got a good wide range of bands there, and yay for Rainbow / Dio! Throw in some sabbath and it's truely a metal set list. Just my 2 cents.

I would just like to point out that arguing over what is "true" metal is extremely damn pointless and stupid.

Well battle axe, we clearly diverge on what being a ***** means then.
Thats if I am to follow your axiom of judging music by fitting it to your gender based impulses, which is totally ridiculous (but only to some extent)
Cable Carrier, its not stupid. You see, heavy metal has to be saved, because the record labels, being the commercialist swine they are, thought it was a good idea to label as metal things that aren't metal. Therefore, the metal stamp, they think, is a sure way to making a band earn popularity.
And we are not going to stand for that. I mean, if Ricky Martin was suddenly considered world-new age music, I bet there would be a lot of people pissed off, right? But, since metal is only for a few (like all good things are), then nobody cares that a whole genre is being ridiculed by the fact that a bunch of morons are taking its name.
Its also important because in the real of very heavy music, the boundary between metal and none metal is a line between whats good and what isn't. And we don't want idiots getting the two confused.
