There aren't too many Heavy Metal songs in Rock Band. Many may argue that this is for the public's liking, but the fact is, there are alot of Heavy Metal fans out there. (My definition of heavy metal doesn't mean Metallica either, to me that would be either Hard Rock or Metal). Here are a few very great examples of Heavy Metal:

Machine Head
-Clenching the Fists of Dissent
-Halo
-Imperium
-Davidian

DevilDriver
-The Mountain
-Burning Sermon
-Clouds over California
-I Could Care Less

Thats just two, you also have bands like Slipknot or Mudvayne.

I'm not just talking about Heavy Metal, I'm even talking stuff like Buckethead (Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains (C2B3)), Les Claypool (Primus, C2B3), or even Bumblefoot. Some of the greatest guitarists and bassists (Buckethead, Les Claypool, Bumblefoot) get looked over in these games just due to popularity. I'm not saying don't put any popular songs on there, but should songs with alot of talent be ignored? (One prime example being how GHII named an achievement Ygnwie Malmsteen for getting 1000 note streak but yet featured no music by him).

Just a thought...

All it was meant to be was a simple idea of putting some music that is out of the "Popular Rock" area and requires talent to play. Personally, battleaxe, I don't like Yngwie either, but nonetheless, he is a very good guitar player, and that is why I listed him.

Excuse double post but if you have nothing more useful than that to say, just turn away from the page...incase you don't have the mental capacity, that's the button in the top left with the arrow pointing to the left. Or you can just close the whole browser by pressing the x in the top right. Your choice.

And if you use a mac, same rules apply, just different layout.

Idiotic Rock Band Forum Member: The Movie.

an idiotic Rock Band forum member (Who will hereon be referred to as "idiot") decides to make suggest some crappy bands. He at first doubts himself, but after being spurred on by his family and friends decides to do it. Idiot posts, and his quickly noticed by the Rock Band Forum.

After being flamed, idiot tries to argue, but is unable to. He realizes he must train. he finds a 12 year old to train him to be a bigger idiot. His sister lets him listen to her terrible music collection so he can like even crappier music. His goal is to go the distance in an argument with battle_axe_of_doom, while simultaneously angering him, and other intelligent users.

I did say I wanted more metal yes, but I've also mentioned Primus, C2B3...not very metal. Plus, those were just examples. And may I ask, whatever happened to CONSTRUCTIVE conversations? Saying that something blows, calling someone an idiot with no reguard to what they may think or what they listen to? Is this really what our society is now is "u nub, lawlz! ur msiuc sux man, taht's natsy, u ****!"? If it is, then this is one sad world, or at least one sad forum community.

Look dude, its just that many of us have been on the forum since APRIL listening to metalheads ***** about how their music isnt included. Its not really your fault but we've heard your opinion numerous times before.

Your definitions of metal and heavy metal are completely off.

And for the record, to a few of the idiots in this threads, the countless system of a down threads does NOT count as metal threads. Real metal threads are few and far between. I have yet to see somebody make a worthwhile list. Every list on here of "metal" my little sister can muster out of her medicocre, inexperienced lips.

(I have no sister though, but you get it)

Pfft, a metal thread isn't dictated by what metal really is, but what the thread maker thinks it is. I mean, how many threads have been posted that say something along the lines of "ROCK BAND NEEDS METAL LIKE SOAD AND SLIPKNOT AND THE RAZOR DONGS SERIOUSLY WHERE ARE THE RAZOR DONGS!!1!11!" Replace the numetal with with any other metallic flavor and my point stays the same, as well as the complete puzzlement that some folks have over why their Favorite Obscure Band isn't in the game.

Nope. You are wrong. Its not the same, because its not metal. Like I explained to you in another thread, stamping the metal label on this hardcore bull**** is a marketing ploy we will NOT stand for and has to be fought against.

And for the record, EVERYBODY does that here, not just us metal fans (and pussies who think Slipknot is metal).
