My aunt just told me she stayed up till 1 or so watching last night. Glad to hear the AL won and J.D. Drew got MVP

That reminded me of the 2003 ALDS game between Boston and NY...that thing went on forever, and so did the game last night. Those people certainly got their money's worth.

I really enjoyed the opening ceremony...I thought it was a really fitting tribute for Yankee Stadium.

The only thing that sucked about the entire night was Fox kept cutting out in the extra innings, usually when the American League was at bat. That was driving me crazy...I wasn't staying up all hours of the night so that I could miss the end. Thankfully it straightened itself out until just before Drew was announced MVP.

It was a great game I was hoping it went on a few innings more so we could have seen some of the postion players pitch:). Its good to see J.D. Drew win MVP and get home field for the Red Sox.

I do, I do. But the White Sox are 7-12 against the AL East this season (they have yet to play the Red Sox) so we'll have to reevaluate this when the time comes!

And for the record, that season they were 3-4 against the Red Sox in the regular season.

its ok, TB is gonna win the AL East anyways, lol, da Sox will win the AL Central, the Angels will win the AL West, and the BoSox will win the Wild Card slot

Let's not forget about my team - the Twinkies!!! Having a pretty decent year so far.

That all star game was nuts. Had some $ on the AL, and had a pretty good sweat goin on in extras... when they didn't make Uggla pay for his THIRD fielding error I thought for sure the NL would win and I would watch my hard earned $ go down the toilet... but kudos to JD Drew and the good base running by my boy Morneau!!

I CANNOT believe they didn't win it in the 10th after Uggla's first two errors. I mean, bases loaded, no outs. All you gotta do is lift one to mid-deep outfield. Unreal. Grats on your winnings :D

As for the Twins, who could have known they'd be having such a good year after the Johan trade? Definitely a positive for them and the future. Tell Casilla to keep playin hot. Gives my fantasy team some zip at Second :)

Twins pitching this season is a pleasant surprise, and Casilla is a double play machine. And Joe Nathan has been a great closer.
