I know, I know Q1 2008. I also know I've posted this in the past.
However, time goes on and seeing as people from HMX actually look at this forum (unlike others I could mention), I thought I'd chance my arm and see if I can get a scoop!
I'd even settle for a 'expect an announcement in ...' to stop me from going insane.

I doubt very much we will hear anything until after it's launched in the U.S Hmx will be focusing on that first and foremost, even then it maybe the new year before we get any hint of a date, if the rumours of a March release are true ( it's what most mags and stores are guessing) then i would say it would be the end of Jan before we get to hear anything.

i thought these kinds of delays were in the past, sure a few weeks, maybe a couple of months, but it could be as much as four months after the US release. As much as I've read in other threads its not about peripheral production, i think that it must be. Frustrating.

I blame Richard Branson.
Chance your arm? Never heard that expression.

I've only just heard that it wont be released until next year over here (I'm in Ireland).
I'm shocked! I assumed it would be out a couple of weeks after the US release, just in time for Christmas, when the majority of games are bought and about 90% of the consoles for the year are sold. (also a great time for expensive perphiarals, I would have thought).
If the game is region free I may consider importing, although the shipping will probably cost an arm and a leg..

LOL. It's a British term meaning to take a risk. It's origin is a little unclear.

This piqued my curiosity, so one quick internet search later:

Yeah I'm from Ireland also, and would like to find out even when to expect an announcement regarding the release date.
Either way, really looking forward to Rock Band!:p

I've had a look around online and it looks like most places don't want to ship something so large to Ireland, I'll keep hunting though.

But they were perfectly ok with shipping Peter Petrelli all the way over there to Cork. What gives? Bias, I say.

I don't think that was the same Cork! I've seen a couple of the new episodes and those accents don't sound Irish to me, it's all a bit fishy...

I tried them first as I ordered from them a long time ago, but they wont ship it, probably because of the size.

yeah those accents are so fake. why does everyone think we act and talk like that...........but anyway eb games does have ireland as one of there shipping addresses so i wud assume they wud ship it (prob cost a fair bit in post and packaging) but with the exchange rate from dollar to euro it wud prob be about 160 euro anyway which is wat they charge over here when it come out (if not more). the only concern i have is that i heard they mite be doing region specific downloadable content meaning i cant download songs off of european store until it comes out anyway and european servers wud prob not be activated meaning no online play
