By the way check out the video WOW, just check out the guitar player and the new GHWT Guitar, he does some sick tricks with it I might be paying attention to GHWT for some innovative ideas.

-Drums you can play whatever you want whenever
-Guitar you can literally slide your fingers over the neck to strum and do special fx looks pretty awesome.

I hate GH3 and I dont like the look that activision has gone with the series, but man after watching that, you cant say it doesn't look pretty cool.

looks like world tour is another over charted, hyperspeed mess on the hard levels. And was it just me, or did they have some sort of no fail mode on. Outside the guitarist, who still missed quite a few notes, everyone was readily missing notes and probably should have failed. A bit fishy. By the way, has anyone been aloud hands on with this game yet?
I will say that guitar tricks were kind of cool, but, who is really going to use them? Did they get rid of the whammy bar?

The bass has an extra note, its a strum with no button held down.

The drums have and extra pad.

Guitar is guitar, a lot of overcharting.

But hey thats what they are going for, a challenge just like they did with GH3.

I honestly believe if you showed I Love Rock n Roll from the first GH game people on this board would scream "overcharted". Not every GH song is overcharted. It's also creeping into RB now...when people can't FC a song on their first sight-read, well hey, it must be overcharted. I'll be honest, the game looks better to me than I thought it would. Simply having a black (or near enough) background for the notes helps out immensely since I'm slightly color blind. I had trouble playing on easy in GH III because of the stupid art fretwork in the game.

As far as overcharting, I dunno. Can you really overchart Eddie Van Halen?

As long as the new RB drumset works for GH:WT, I'll at least rent it to try it out.

after seeing the HUD, and gameplay of GH:WT i dont care what songs they have or how many they offer for free i will not be renting this crap. Rock Band has the best GUI ever, its clean simple and it has everything u need to know. screw gh and screw activision for failing to make a good ui.

I thought the guitar and bass charts looked spot on aside from the strange three chord changes in the end fast strumming. I don't really think there was any overcharting aside from there. I also didn't notice any random strums in the middle of the solos, which was my main complaint with GH3.

Note that I also feel Afterlife and Snow are not overcharted as some on these forums seem to believe.

It still looks fun to play and difficult, but not realistic. The thing I notice often about the GH charts is the inclusion of extra HO/POs when there clearly is none. Its added to make the game harder. That song is hard enough, jeez.

Well, I love chicken egg syndrome....personally I think the songs ARE overcharted, but sometimes people are just looking for something to complain about. I especially think that Hot for Teacher is overcharted, but I don't think Overcharting is inherently a bad thing. I thought the overcharting done in Smokin made the song more fun to play, and I WISH Baba O'reilly was overcharted. I didn't like March of the pigs, so it's Piano parts irked me either way.

What I'm trying to say is that overcharting isn't necessarily a bad thing, but in many cases it is. GH overcharts a lot, and most of the time it's not fun becuase of it. sometimes it is.

Hot for teacher was disgusting though...that is all.

I honestly think people will take the time to make great songs. Look at the kinds of things people spend time with with Youtube videos, GH customs, etc. And with ranking, there will be people who want to be highly ranked.

My concern, though, is copyright infringement. You just know people are going to make versions of commercial songs. As a player, that's what I'd want to play.

Opinion Take 1

Song Choice:I respectfully disagree with Ultrace on the sing choice, I think it's excellent.

Bass:My primary instrument when it comes to playing in Rock Band and real life. The bass chart didn't seem bad at all but I'm going to need check the song again properly because some the notes are weird.(The hammer on/pull off back and forth between the all the buttons toward the end).

Guitar:It's not really a bad chart, I could imagine something similar in Rock Band with that song.

Drums: Doesn't look quite right to me, but eh I'm no drummer.

Vocals:Looks perfectly fine from view I had of the vocal chart.

Overall it's not bad but I'm set on Rock Band 2 in this case. This game has the potential to be really fun.
