my japanese xbox

i've just realised i have a japanese xbox. It plays uk games. So am i right in expecting it to play american games too?

Sounds like it's modded. If it will ignore region codes it'll be fine. Japan and US use NTSC, so the format works on your TV. UK games are PAL, so if you can play both regions, you'll probably be able to play US games too.

There's also the possibility that you've just had all non-region-locked games. You'll need to find out if it's modded or if HMX doesn't region-lock.

If it plays NTSC and PAL no problem, it's probably got modded firmware on your DVD drive. If that is the case, you won't be able to play online (for long) or you'll get banned from Live! services.

I don't suggest you play with a modded console.

oh well. I'll just have to try and find somewhere that sells american xbox games near me. Before i try importing any. Cheers man
