Sorry if this has been mentioned a bunch of times already. After playing a few of the Who tracks and noticing they actually put the extra work into adding that feature, I was pleasantly surprised.

Obviously it takes more effort to record a sing-along track for DLC, but it was definitely noticed by a lot of people and appreciated. If I can't expect this to be done every time from now on, I hope we can at least get it for big name releases like this week's stuff.

Also digging the additional loading screen info that came with this week's stuff.

There's actually a number of songs where the crowd sings along when you're doing really well. If you can't hear it, try turning down the volume of the "Background Music" (any parts not being actively played) and play on guitar or something. On certain songs, the crowd clearly gets involved. (assuming you're doing well - like, 'full-meter' well.)

But yes, I quite like this feature - it's one of a number of little details which you may not really 'notice', but contribute to the overall atmosphere of the game, like the cricket noise in the background after you fail a Big Rock Ending. The game would've been fine without it, but the game experience is enhanced by its presence.

I agree, it really adds to the feel of the tracks.

He is talking about DLC not on disc songs here.

Which by the way, has there been anything official for the on Disc songs for RB2 regarding the crowd sing-alongs?

The second half of "Dead on Arrival", when the crowd kicks in and sings along, while I'm bashing away on the drums, sends a chill down my spine. I love it.

*checks a bunch of DLC*

oh wow, it's kinda disappointing to realize that it's absent from most of the DLC.
I could'a sworn I remembered the crowd joining in for the Oasis tracks at least, but I guess that's tangled memories from when the house behind us held a party-thing and one guy pulled out a guitar and started playing Wonderwall. (Incidentally I was in my room, playing Rock Band at the time...)

But yeah, nice to see they went the extra effort to include it on the Who pack. I hope they continue to do so for future releases (where appropriate), and would certainly enjoy if they were to add-it-in somehow to certain past releases. (such as the aforementioned Oasis pack...)

If need-be, I would be willing to pay a bit more for a 'crowd add-on' pack for past (and maybe future) DLC.

We definitely need more crowd sing-alongs in DLC. It was a huge addition to the experience when I was playing The Who tracks last night. I don't think I realized how much I missed it in other songs until then.

What's funny is that they had such a huge debate on wether to include it in the game to begin with. Turned out to be an instant hit. It's not very often our band plays a song from the original disc but when we do and the crowd starts the sing-along everybody gets a bit more pumped up.

Yeah, I was absolutly surprised to hear the crowd sing in the Who songs. Maybe it's because those have been in development for such a long time, but I really love it.

count me in as someone who likes the sing along stuff and would love to have it in more songs.

Glad they decided to keep it, since it's awesome. I'm probably going to buy one or two more songs than I was planning on with this Who pack since it's obvious they put a little more effort into it. Great stuff.
