Wtf??? How The Hell Did This Just Happen?

I had to share this with you guys, I play expert on guitar and bass on everything, and usually dont have any trouble.

But.....I never could get thru let alone 5 star and 91% GG&HT ON HARD, but my daughter was just playing it on medium and passed it and I said let me show you how hard that is,(she 5 starred it on meduim, i was very impressed and very happy). So I go to play and at first im thinking damn this is a little slow, but then it speeds up and then first solo, nervous now, but never fall down that low or go into red. Then on and on then solo(badass kick my ass solo) #2 comes up and im just jammin away and not paying much attention til close to the end, and then I ask wife out loud 'am I doing what I think Im doin? And then bam, 5 star and bre and i even got that, almost pissed my self! Cant believe this song used to piss me off so bad, I had considered getting rid of it if we could move rb1 songs to rb2, now think Ill just keep it for when I even get better and then can show off to my friends,lol.

Well I was just proud of my self and wanted to share my story with my buds here on my #1 forum. By the way

TO ALL THOSE WHO SAY THEY CANT BEAT SOMETHING!!!!!

Just keep playing, push your self and you'll be surprised at what you can do.

But the song is too damn long. And then I fail at the Zig-Zags in solo 2 (plays on Expert)
Having to restart that is painful.

I had the same experience with Blackened on expert guitar.
Never got more than 12% on it and just yesterday decided to go through it in practise.
Did that twice. Then played the song. Failed twice on 70%, first because I accidentaly used overdrive before the solo and then on the second try because I used it too late. Then on the third I got through pretty much no problems with 3 stars and 80% :)

Curse the zig zags on GGHT though. I've played it far too many times only to fail out at like 87% :/

Did you read? my daughter was doing it on meduim and shes 12 only been at my house for a little over a month and a half and first time playing that song she 5 starred it, which in turn motivated my to show her how hard hard was. and i did it, wow, not sure if im more impressed over her or over myself?

and now shes doing 5 stars on snow.wtf?? get out of here? well guess ill try that one now. this is a weird day indeed.

Grats on your pass. Im stuck at FwD and GG&HT on expert now. I dont think im gonna beat em. I barely play guitar. Drums are for me. I like hitting stuff.

Most annoying thing about this game is the cliff of difficulty between Medium and Hard for Guitar and Bass. For Drums the difficulty curve is a smooth climb. For Vocals difficulty is more a matter of what octave the song is than anything else. For Guitar and Bass, its a short hop between Easy and Medium, then a huge leap between Medium and Hard, and then a short hop from Hard to Expert.

I can five star every song in the game on Medium yet can't get past Tier 3 or so on Hard, yet every song I can pass on Hard I can pass on Expert. They really need to smooth out the difficulty curve.

well i got 4 stars on snow on hard, amazed myself again, what the hell is going on? im so tired though from work, i would play some more, damn, maybe just cause i took a couple days off or something from playing? dont know, but been playing pretty much an avereage of 4 tp 5 hours a day since april 4 so 3 1/2 months non stop. oh and by the way, this was my first guitar game, never liked the way gh looked, not trying to start anything.

you have no idea really how big this is for me, wife and i tried the endless setlist on hard guitar and bass and made it all the way to gg&ht and lost about 12 million fans trying, for two days with game paused while we slept, in the end, abandoned the setlist and the band all together, started new band, might be doing that damn setlist again now! yippe, by the way we are like 200 something on the bwt leadorboards now, maybe that is why we have err. i have gotten so much better ? dont know. ok enough said.

now my daughter wont let me play shes off on a 5 star quest for all the damn hard songs(meduim though, bless her little heart.)

she also likes her pink furry modified guitar(looks like zz top) that we did all together, all four of our guitars are modded this way, mines not pink though.

Your story sort of sounds like my Thrasher story.

A friend was over, I played "Snow ((Hey Oh))" for the first time. It kicked my ass the first couple tries, but then I got the hang of it. He tried it and failed pretty quickly. I told him that even though that was hard, it was nowhere near Thrasher (the only song I had left to beat on Expert guitar). I then started Thrasher, just to show him the insane amount of strumming...

...passed it pretty easily. Only 3 stars, but never really was in a threat of failing. I couldn't believe it at all.

This post made me try Expert GG&HT again and i finally beat it so thanks. Guess im going to have to get Thrasher and Snow ((Hey Oh)) so i can get stuck again.

thrasher wasnt hard after i had an isane ammount of energy drinks.
Just skip a few of the notes and make sure ur ready to hit those overdrive powerchords
