View Full Version : Deactivate-able DLC?

Has it been mentioned anywhere how much control we will have over DLC after it is purchased? I know that DLC factors into WTB mode as available songs in any random selections and such, but will we have control over which songs do or don't make it in?
The thing that makes me ask this is, I was considering... If someone purchases the entire "Who's Next" album, that's 12 additional Who songs going into RB circulation on their machine. Their odds of playing a Who song at random become something like 1:5.5--which for my tastes is way too much. I'd like to be able to select those songs in quick play but decide which ones make it into WTB mode circulation...
Hopefully Harmonix has considered this and it's available as an option within the game...

Hm, this is an interesting question. Kudos for coming up with it. However, I suppose that if you pay the money to buy the DLC, you're more or less saying that you like it enough to play it on a regular basis.

You mean you wouldn't want to play only GD and The Who for BWT?
Yeah I see where you're coming from.

It has been stated that the songs will appear in Mystery Setlists and Make a Setlist events. But I would guess that it will look at the artist list and not give you more then one.??

In theory once you had a big enough library of songs, the chances of getting a run of songs by the same artist would be minimal.

Even better if it was like a sports game where you create a team and have it replace an exsisting one. So Behind Blue Eyes could replace the Fallout Boy song.

This is true. Unfortunately, getting to that point could be very expensive and also take quite some time, since I'm pretty sure we're not going to see 15 albums available for download in the first few weeks... Well, here's to hoping they've thought of this already or that if not they can sneak in a stealth patch like GH3 did on the XB360 for co-op play...

This Fallout Boy song is getting absurd hate, it's at least a song off their good album.
Don't knock it 'til you try it.

Won't this only be a factor in mystery setlist? Mystery setlist is interesting, but I'd think the vast majority of your time will be making your own setlists or running the "Challenge" setlists, so I'm not sure this is really that big of a problem...

Exactly...
