How about having song packs of JUST individual artists? As in, instead of a mixed bag, I could pay maybe 11 dollars and get a full album worth of hendrix tracks =P. I think it'd be a good idea cause it gives the player more choice, and maybe it'd be popular enough to cover the cost of the licensing (I'unno). Just throwing it out there.

I think he means a random grouping of songs from the same artist, not just a full DLC album. Kinda like a Rock Bands version of greatest hits.

Nah, I'm pretty sure he thought that the DLC would be like in GH were you get a mixed bag of songs, and he'd prefer what is expected to coming to Rock Band's DLC anyway.

Would be a great idea except it will be tricky in regards to who owns rights! Its easier to deal with one compnay who owns an album rather than get a possibility of different record labels involved.

As an example, R.E.M's best of Album which was released was an abslute nightmare - simply because R.E.M's career spanned across two major record labels each of whom didn't want to budge on giving away the best songs.

But I do agree - compilation "best of" from each artist would be great.

Nah, I was saying full albums =P. I had no idea it was already confirmed (stopped following rock band a while ago). Anyway, this is good news for me =P.

I hope there won't be "packages" at all. You should be able to download as many songs as you want and no packages with 3 songs of which you really like one very much but hate the other two. But yeah, there should also be the possibility to buy more songs together at a cheaper price of course. But you have to be able to choose which songs you want!

I guess that should be in the "What should Download Songs Cost" thread...

I'd like to pick certain songs i want and then buy them. Like, buy 2 mettalica songs, 2 who songs, and 1 Nirvana song, and get a certain price for buying them together
