Remember, Rock Band, no one is allowed to touch you in your bathing suit area. If some ugly old Wal*Mart employee does so, just yell "I NEED A RETAIL FLOOR MANAGER!" real loud...

One nice thing about GH3 and Rock Band is that since they have extensive hardware needs, they tend to come in early... more chances of presale leaks :) and more chances your game store will have it on launch day, if not during a midnight sale before. Typically my crappy local GameCrazy doesn't actually get their games until the day AFTER the official ship date, by comparison.

Yea well, there wasn't much i could do. it was already safely tucked away in the security room with cameras all around. I can't do pics...no cameras allowed in the back. But it is the size you'd think it would be. Not all that big really. I think my size comparison elsewhere of 5 GH boxes stacked up was accurate. And i forgot to pick it up, so i don't know how heavy it was.

Hmm, that's a bit strange that they have already shipped a copy, considering that it hasn't gone gold yet (to our knowledge). My contact over at Harmonix said they wouldn't even be able to ship full-retail demo kits until maybe a week before they go on sale.

I don't like to call shenanigans, but perhaps it was a demo kit or filler box? :confused:

I'm also thinking it was a display box or something since it was just one of them. Would presume the store is going to get more than one copy.

But I'd also not be surprised if they start showing up soon. It's less than 3 weeks to go, so it must have gone gold by now and we just haven't heard, or they'd have trouble getting them cranked out in time. Couple that with the size of the box and the fact that the big-box stores aren't going to want to pay for fast shipping on that large an item, and I'd think we'd start seeing a staggered shipping to stores starting pretty much any day now.

Most everyone has controls in place these days to prevent early sales (I'm looking to you, Toys 'R Us, don't let us down), so I don't know that we'll see people walking out with a copy ahead of time any time soon, but I bet they start trickling into Walmarts and Targets in the next week or so.
