So Rock Band has hit a few milestones as a game, let's recap:

- First rhythm game to offer consistent, weekly DLC
- First rhythm game to offer Full Albums as DLC
- First rhythm game to offer brand new singles same day as store release
- First rhythm game to sell more 'copies' of said single through RB as oppose to iTunes
- First rhythm game to feature hold out artists like AC/DC and Bob Dylan.
- First rhythm game to have an on disc song from an album that isn't even released yet (Shackler's Revenge/Chinese Democracy)

Are there any milestones I'm missing? And more importantly... what's left?? Here's one that I don't know if we'll ever see, but it would be cool...

- First rhythm game to have a song written exclusively for it by a whole, established band with vocals and all (as opposed to just the guitar duels from GH3)

Beatles?
Pink Floyd?
First to launch a new album through a game.
First to reach X amount of songs.
First to be played on the moon.
First game to cause an elderly person to break a hip. [Although, Wii Sports probably already did that.]

They've hit all the major ones.

First rhythm game to include full masters across the entire setlist maybe?

actually, GH3 is releasing Metallica's new album as DLC before RB2 comes out... BUt still! a great list of achievements! First game to get Led Zeppelin? maybe? one day?
What If we got every person on the Rock Band forums to sign a thread essentially begging Them to let HMX use their songs! We'll say stuff like how much we appreciate their music And get The HMX developers who have been fans of theirs since th get go! Do something like what they did to get Immigrant song in school of Rock.

How about first rhythm game to offer an artist's entire catalog as DLC?

... first to ... have a game sell-out a concert?

I'm sure a lot of us would 'get' it and attend a concert where HMX employees jammed out.

Guitar Hero III had at least one song that wasn't available on CD yet; it's still not out actually.

They need more guitar gods.

Eric Clapton
Jimi Hendrix
John Mayer
Bryan Adams
Colin James
Steve Miller (I know, I know)
(Real) G n' R
maybe even some B.B. King

etc etc etc

and I'll hold my breath until the day Silverchair gets some play because they are mah faves.

Those would be considered milestones to me.

Mayer's great and I love him, but he's got a way to go to being put in the same category as Hendrix, Clapton and BB King.

I do agree that he needs more hits to be like Clapton and whatnot BUT, what you may not know is that, when he plays music, he doesn't use basic chords. He uses the knuckle gnarling, wrist busting notes as the norm and plays them with ease, as if they were basic chords.

He's extremely talented. I used to hate his guts but then a friend gave me a tonne of his stuff and I was instantly impressed.

Believe me, I know how good he is. He's my one of my favorite guitarists. But his songs suck, and I find that his covers or improv are usually a helluva lot better than him attempting to make a song. He needs to work on that a lot.

It's possible that GH2 already has that honor via something like Less Talk More Rokk or FTK.

But I think you can add:

- First rhythm game to have a downloadable song from an album that isn't even released yet
(Saints of Los Angeles / Motley Crue)
