do you think you =will be able to on ps2/ wii

I think you could cause alot of ps2 games allow you to unlock things if you have a game save file of a game....(example....in jak x: combat racing if you have a jak 2 save file on your memory card you can unlock jak 2 as a playable character.)

...dude....... there isn't even a big enough hard drive on the Wii, and very few people do have a HDD for the PS2, so my answer is.

Definitely not.

It's not going to happen. apparently nintendo thought addressing the issue of making the wii a dvd player more important than adding a HD storage device.

Which is good because I only have 6 other things that can play DVDs, so I need another one.

Wow, what a misleading thread title.

I hope this is a joke...

Why arent you asking why you cant watch a Blu-Ray disc on a Normal DVD player?

Why arent you asking why you cant play Rock Band on the Dreamcast?

Why arent you asking why you use a garage to store your car, instead of a closet?

Some things just arent built to for it. Some things just arent big enough.

He's only 14 so I'm going to assume he wasn't joking...although I thought today's 14 year olds were a bit more tech-savvy especially when it comes to gaming.

Best I remember PS2 cards are 8MB, RB songs tend to run around 30 MB, so the memory card wouldn't even hold one song.

The wii might be possible eventually if you had a really big SD card. Even then I think the best you could hope for would be if Nintendo allowed them to put RB DLC on the store. I really don't think you'll ever see the RB1 disc songs tranfer on the Wii, and I have serious doubts about the DLC too.

HA! No. Sorry.

Unlocking something on disk is completely different than the RB1 export you are asking for. If the songs were on the RB2 disk then yes, maybe they could.. but I doubt that will be the case, since they mentioned that you'd have to export them from RB1 Disk. So by assumption, the songs need to be uploaded (downloaded... rightloaded) from the RB1 disk to a HDD. And (judging by individual DLC song sizes) are about 20-50MB each... x58 songs (is that the number?) which means you'd need somewhere near 1.8GB (2GB conservative). How big is your mem card?

It's doable on Wii, but the largest SD card you can use is 2 GB. Yes, there are larger cards, but the Wii doesn't support high capacity SD, which is anything above 2 GB. That's room for about 65 songs. So yeah, there'd be space to import songs from RB1, but not much left over for DLC.

Couldn't you just buy a new system? Why don't you demand they release Rock Band for the Sega Genesis? All good things come to an end. You have a severly out dated system. Time for a new system.

PS2/Wiis do not have the capacity of Hard Drive/Memory Card to export sasid songs. It's pretty much impossible.

PS2 and Wii may not even get all the features. So don't count on it

I thought collectively, we had put all of the 'Wii-SDcard' threads behind us once and for all. That-which-is-not-worth-speaking-of rears its ugly head again.

I wanna get a ps3 before ROCK BAND 2, it might happen but I don't think so. It is not that my parents cant's afford it but you know how live is bills, rent and food come first before video games and other things people don't really need

and by the time they get all the groceries pay bills and rent there is hardly any extra money the buy a ps3 or extra things
