So everyone about a month or so back had been clamoring for information about the Wirless controllers and why GH3 could have them and Rockband couldn't. (For 360) The thing I've noticed now is that if you look at a lot of the GH3 forums all you hear about is how the Wirless one isn't working correctly and there a quite a few issues. I plan on using the GH3 controller for bass guitar when I play RB with my friends. Although I think HMX was very smart in not going with the wireless perifials and even may have secretly toy'ed with the ideas of the wireless for the 360. Although it seems RB went the smart way in not having the wireless controllers for 360. I'm hoping they will work flawlessly.

The wireless problems with the Les Paul are for the PS3 not the 360. I have no problem with mine except it auto-strums the G-R-Y chord.

Ps3 version of RB is going to be wireless. My Les Paul works fine it's the DONGLE that I'm having problems with.I think they may have rushed GH3 a bit.

Most problems are being blamed on the detachable fretboard resulting in buttons not working and strumming being sensitive.

Actually, the wireless Les Paul is a solid controller on the 360. I've had no issues thus far with it. It really makes me sad that I'm going to have to go back to a wired controller.:(

Yes, every now and then my red fret doesn't register...sometimes green, I have to push the guitar together (the 2 pieces) and it works.

The problems with the Les Paul had little to do with the controllers being wireless. The wireless aspect is usually about the only part of the controller that people aren't reporting problems with. Rock Band wireless guitars will come for the 360 anyway later on.
Just be glad the Strat's neck isn't detachable. RedOctane made some silly design decisions with the Les Paul.

Genius RedOctane employee: Hey guys! I got this great idea on how to make the frets less noticable.

I imagine that some of the problems with guitars being reported on the GHIII forum probably has something to do with the intelligence level of the users. I know plenty of people who haven't had problems with any controllers, because they aren't being abused. Throw idiots into the mix, and presto, just like best buy, your controllers don't work anymore!

Ya, that's a minor problem.

I read from Rock Band, the reason they don't have wireless guitar on the 360 is because Microsoft charges a fee to any wireless devices on the 360 so RB didnt want to pay that fee and then go charge more to customers for the game to make up for their increase. PS3 doesnt charge wireless fees so they did it for that.
so its microsofts fault

I'm not one to rag on GH3 on the RB forums, but I thought I'd share what I thought was a funny mistake.
My Les Paul was assembled wrong. When it arrived, the yellow and the blue buttons were swapped, placing the helpful location "nub" under the pinky/ring instead of the ring/middle. I tried it for a little while and it was fun, but after a few moments of feeling "lost" in quick strumming, I opened up the heck and swapped the buttons to where they were supposed to be.
It's a great controller, but I can't help but feel like they might have been slapped together in a hurry, considering my experience. :)
