Reports from CAG seem to be that at least 2 stores (edit: 1 from Branford, CT) have put copies of the bundle out on shelves. Keep an eye out.

Don't get me wrong! I hope that people will be able to pick it up early. In fact, I would try the Wal-Marts in my area, but I don't have the money right now to buy it, plus I have it almost paid off at Gamestop by trading in games and accessories I no longer use. Most broken street date are the result of local management or lack thereof. Mass broken street dates are rare. I'd stay home.

I drove over to a local Best Buy today, hoping to try out RB. Someone on these forums mentioned how its likely that the demos are in stores located near college campuses. So I figured the one in Durham, which is only minutes from UNC, Duke, and NC State, would surely have it set up. But sadly no.

The real point for heading out to the store though, was to pick up a lamp from Wal-Mart, which is also in that plaza. While there, I saw no Rock Band (demo, or otherwise).

Anyhow, earlier this year I went there to pick up a game (since the BB and Gamestop in that plaza were both out of it), and while Wal-Mart had copies in, they said they couldn't sell it because it wasn't supposed to be released yet (this was on a Thursday, and the game came out two days earlier, obviously). So even if I do happen to see RB there before the 20th, I'm not sure they'd sell it to me.

Hey I worked there for a year and a half, and I didn't have any problems :p you can slack and they pretty much won't care that much. Altho, the pay could be more, but HEY you should get a real job if you want more money.;)

I don't know guys. I was at Best Buy right after they set up the demo, and it was that same box. Granted, it was the 360 version, but the bundle in the picture could easily just be the demo. Plus, I work at a GameStop and we aren't getting the bundles for at least a week or two. I doubt they've shipped them yet.

I think Wal-Mart is one of the best of the evil corporations. Sure there's some bad things about it, but the good outweigh the bad. For what that's worth. Not to get off topic though...

A PS3 demo does seem a bit weird, so it makes you wonder. I'm sure they can find ways to lock the remote up, but all the Wal-Mart's I've been too (probably like 3, in NY, NJ, and NC), I've never seen PS3 demos. They just have a PS3 set up with a few demos loaded into the Games section...and pretty old ones at that.

Multiple people on CAG saying they saw or purchased it from Walmart.
Several of them say they saw more than one copy suggesting they aren't demos.
It's up to you what you want to believe. Stranger things have happened.
