I'm going to do expert on guitar and easy on vocals. And this video reminds me that I need to get a used mic stand.

HAH! That's the same thing some kid said at my tour stop. He thought that sitting down and trying TOM SAWYER on Expert with no drum experience would be doable.

Takes balls to jump to expert. I remember at a party when I saw this song on GHII...I think it was called Jordan...

He's a journalist for Wired. He gets a press copy early.
If this guy shows himself to be responsive to feedback, press him on the details of how the game works! Can you use created guys in quickplay or online, can you make a whole band even for solo tours, how do the unlocks work, etc, etc... we already know the big features but not the nitty gritty...

I was wondering what i could have done for a mic stand...a stack of boxes? haha...
Oh it's Chris Kohler, i've actually seen this dude on the streets of SF (during a Final Fantasy release party lol). This is probably the way i'll get through most of WBT. Anyone else doing this? Does anybody know if it's possible to have a guitar/vocalist character? Or does it have to be separate characters?

It needs to be two separate characters. Atleast you get to name and design two different people with the cool create-a-character!

So does this confirm we can use headsets or did I miss the mic in the vid?

Well you can create two characters and still have one person operating both peripherals.
BUT... I challenge people to play through some of the setlists in BWT playing guitar and singing. Singing (if you've never done it for full songs, one after the other) is quite tiring. So add to the fact you'd have to pretty much memorize the words to all the songs (or the note charts.. but lyrics will be far easier) you're going to be hurting. Seriously.
Yes it's doable (obviously), but I don't think it's remotely as easy as some think it'll be. Especially if you're going to try expert and expert.
Fortunately I think a lot of rock singers sing fairly flat so that'll help.
And the endless setlist.. even with a dedicated vocalist... man... I dunno. Better have ****loads of water and the pause button handy. It might be 6 hours of music, but it'll take you 12 hours to play through it. :)

Yes, looks easy...That's because it IS easy

One other thing I noticed, and that I'm glad of, if you don't get the mic taps during the guitar solos, it doesn't drop your vocal rock meter. Phew.
Only 19 days to go!
