The Who have a song in the game, with its full album coming as DLC. Nirvana is sort of in the same boat, albeit it a rumored boat, if such a thing exists. So anyway, even though this has all been known for a long time, now with the final set list released, which of the 45 albums these songs are from would you most like to see as DLC?
Note: Some of these songs may be parts of compilations, or greatest hits CDs, but those don't count. I'm referring to the original albums they were part of.
Some of the options:
Arist: Foo Fighters
RB Song: Learn To Fly
Album: There Is Nothing Left To Lose
Other songs on the album: Breakout, Next Year, Ain't It The Life
Artist: Bon Jovi
RB Song: Wanted Dead or Alive
Album: Slippery When Wet
Other songs on the album: You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin' On a Prayer
Artist: Boston
RB Song: Foreplay/Long Time
Album: Boston
Other songs on the album: More Than A Feeling, Peace of Mind, Rock and Roll Band, Smokin', Let Me Take You Home Tonight
Artist: Rolling Stones
RB Song: Gimme Shelter
Album: Let It Bleed
Other songs on the album: You Can't Always Get What You Want, Let It Bleed
Artist: Radiohead
RB Song: Creep
Album: Pablo Honey
Other songs on the album: Anyone Can Play Guitar, You
Artist: The Police
RB Song: Next To You
Album: Outlandos d'Amour
Other songs on the album: Roxanne, Can't Stand Losing You, So Lonely
Artist: Iron Maiden
RB Song: Run To The Hills
Album: The Number of the Beast
Other songs on the album: The Number of the Beast, Hallowed Be Thy Name, The Prisoner
Artist: Rush
RB Song: Tom Sawyer
Album: Moving Pictures
Other songs on the album: Limelight, Red Barchetta, YYZ
Artist: Smashing Pumpkins
RB Song: Cherub Rock
Album: Siamese Dream
Other songs on the album: Today, Disarm
Artist: Metallica
RB Song: Enter Sandman
Album: Metallica
Other songs on the album: The Unforgiven, Nothing Else Matters
I know that I didn't necessarily list the best/your favorite songs from each album, but I was just trying to pick better known ones, and some that I like.
My vote is hands down for Boston. But I'd like to see quite a few.
Also, I only felt like listing 10, so if you have another suggestion, just add that.

Moving Pictures would be great, but if I had to pick only one, I'd have to go with the Black Album. So many great Metallica songs.

I'd actually like to see Queens of the Stone Age for DLC
Artist: Queens of the Stone Age
RB Song: Go With the Flow
Album: Songs for the Deaf
Other songs on the album: No One Knows, Millionaire, First It Giveth
If I had to pick one from the list though, it would have to be Maiden.

Boston's Boston for sure! Than Nirvana's Nevermind and Queens of the Stone Age's Songs for the Deaf.
(I am smart enough not to pick/suggest the Who or Metaliica has they have already been confirmed for Rock Band's DLC)

I would really like to see Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon as a DL album. Pink Floyd hasn't even gotten a song on GH or for that matter RB. They basically need the entire catalogue from the Floyd. VOTE FOR PINK FLOYD!

AC/DC FOR ROCK BAND!.

Eh.. hard choices man, Boston, Rush, or Metallica.. Rush

hard choice! Rush, Iron Maiden and Rolling Stones are all amazing!
i voted Rolling Stones mainly cause i like their rock-ousness (haha!)
any of those would be sweet (though i would beg and plead for older Metallica, anything from Kill 'Em All -> And Justice For All, especially Master Of Puppets and Ride The Lightning.
As far as albums not on there:
Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, Holy Wood, Portrait Of An American Family
The Mars Volta - Amputechture, The Bedlam In Goliath, Deloused In The Comatorium, Frances The Mute
The Beatles - Abbey Road, The White Album, Sgt. Peppers, Revolver, Rubber Soul
The Doors - The Doors, Strange Days, Morrison Hotel, L.A. Woman, Here Comes The Sun
David Bowie - Diamond Dogs, Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Space Oddity, Aladdin Sane, The Man Who Sold The World, Low
Iggy Pop - The Idiot, Lust For Life
Iggy & The Stooges - Fun House, Raw Power, The Stooges
The Faint - Birth, Blank-Wave Arcade, Danse Macabre
Dethklok - The Dethalbum
all in all a lot of good stuff i can think of.
i got more, but that's a good start hahah

Mine was a tie between Slippery When Wet and The Number of the Beast.
I voted Number of the Beast so I'd have no reason to get GH3.

Boston!!!
That album would be so rad... plus I'd get More Than a Feeling again.
After Boston I'd like to see Room on Fire from The Strokes (the one with Reptilia on it).
I can't wait to play Reptilia as The Strokes are my favorite band.

Yeah, but Dark Side of the Moon has too many instrumental / piano focused songs. I don't think it works for Rock Band, and neither would most Floyd albums due to the deep cuts being experimental soundscapes and solos.
I could see a "Best of Pink Floyd" (Echoes, maybe?) being released, akin to the Best of the Grateful Dead... get a compilation of tracks that best fit the four instrument concept.
Anyway...
Taking a look at my "whole albums" playlists on my iPod I see a few good candidates, but as always, taste is subjective.
Green Day / American Idiot
Bad Religion / Empire Strikes First
Harvey Danger / Little by Little
Nirvana / Nevermind (I know it's rumored, but it's not confirmed...)
Pearl Jam / Ten
Any of these would be good, solid rock from start to finish without straying from the Rock Band concept too much.

I voted for Pablo Honey because Radiohead is the band I like the most out of those. But actually I hope we'll get Ok Computer since it's a much better album.

I voted for Iron Maiden, but I think that Boston would be great fun as well.
The album I most want to see, though, is Good Apollo Vol. I by Coheed and Cambria. Not only do those guys write some of the coolest riffs of all time, but their drummer is incredible and it would be so fun to sing Claudio's vocals. These songs would almost have to be Lead/Rhythm, because Travis and Claudio have some of the sweetest duo runs in modern rock.

Much like The Who's Who's Next, there is not a bad song on Boston's eponymous debut. You might look at the track list and think you don't know the songs, but if you've listened to more than 20 minutes of Classic Rock radio, you've likely heard all of the songs at least once.

Nice! I picked Boston because I knew it would be best. I had no idea it would be the most voted for!!
Hope it comes true.

None of those really appeal to me, I like everything 'hobbesdream' listed though.
I think I would prefer newer bands like Muse & Bloc Party, although I would love some Thin Lizzy, oh and Stone Roses (all about the drums).

Im gonna have to go with either Core or Purple from Stone Temple Pilots, great songs on both of them it would be hard to chose. However, if it was ever able to get a greatest hits album on there, Thank You, also by STP, would be amazing, and it does have "All In The Suit That You Wear" which is a great song that was not featured on any other album. It also has the acoustic version of "Plush", which would be a great change since there are no other acoustic songs

If I had to choose only those listed, it would be Iron Maiden. However, I would love to see Mahogany Rush IV or World Anthem, Robin Trower's Bridge of Sigh's or Gov't Mule's Dose.

"Down in a Hole" (Cantrell) – 5:38
"Sickman" (Cantrell, Staley) – 5:29
"Rooster" (Cantrell) – 6:15
"Junkhead" (Cantrell, Staley) – 5:09
"Dirt" (Cantrell, Staley) – 5:16
"God Smack" (Cantrell, Staley) – 3:50
"Iron Gland" (unlisted) (Cantrell) – 0:43
"Hate to Feel" (Staley) – 5:16
"Angry Chair" (Staley) – 4:47
"Would?" (Cantrell) – 3:28

Out of the choices above, I picked Boston because I do LOVE Classic Rock and they're an awesome classic rock band I'd love to have more of.
However, I have to agree with Hopton that I would really love to have Purple from Stone Temple Pilots. Definitely my favorite of their albums.

Ah ok.
On a side note I just checked out the Boston - Boston album and wow that's a great album. I'm surprised how many songs I know. I have such a terrible memory for band/song names, what can I say.

I voted Siamese Dream, but I'd rather see Doolittle, Songs for the Deaf or Paranoid, in that order. That's assuming Nevermind is already gonna be DLC, of course.
