However, as others have mentioned, this game needs to be accessible to everybody, and include songs that even my girlfriend would love to play/drum/sing/or bear to be in the room while I play. Therefore, I propose the following venue and songs, knowing that the venues have probably already been completed.
Venue: Either 50's diner or classic prom ("Under the Sea")location on small stage.
Songs: Any song that fits into the roots of Rock and Roll from the 50s/60s time period.
"Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley and the Comets
"Hound Dog"-Elvis
"Oh Boy"-Buddy Holly
"Johnny B. Goode"- Chuck Berry
Perhaps some Bo Diddley, Richie Valens, or some old Johnny Cash, and even an older Beatles tune. If I could find some female artists from the time that would fit the instruments of the game, I'd list them as well. I'm not saying any of these are very complicated by any means, but they could be fun to play.
As long as I'm writing, here are some others that would probably be appealing to a wide audience.
"Soul Man" - Blues Brothers
"Tuff Enuff" - Fabulous Thunderbirds
"Somebody's Crying" - Chris Isaac.
"Is She Really Going Out With Him" - Joe Jackson
"Crazy Little Thing Called Love" - Queen
