The Rolling Stones' Gimme Shelter was the only '60s song in RB1.
And so far they've had no DLC... I bet their in RB2's free pack

I would be willing to bet that your opinion didn't need a post of it's own and could have been placed snuggly in a post about speculation on the twenty songs.

I was shocked by not seeing The Rolling Stones (and also The Ramones) in the RB2 set list, so I also have a hunch we'll be seeing both or at least one in the 20 free songs.

God I hope not. I hope they come out as DLC, cause I know people want it but not as part of the actual game (the free 20 were supposed to be on disk apparently but there was an issue with space). I never saw the appeal, I go out of my way to avoid Gimme Shelter. I've played it enough to beat it on every instrument and now I will never play it again....until I go for platinum on drums (already got guitar/bass and vocals)

I'm hoping you lose your bet in favor of a 60's British Invasion band with REAL vocalists.

They deserve more than 1 song in the free 20. How about a 12 song pack like The Who? I WANT IT!

As in the band whose drummer's son is the drummer for The Who anymore? :)

Oh please no Beatles!!! I respect them and acknowledge their songs and vast library and their contribution to music, but I hate their songs.
Hate is a bit strong, but I am not a Beatles fan...sorry.

Yeah! They totally wouldn't release the most popular band of all time because you hate them.
But anyway if they released Beatles songs you would have to pay for them.

I'd rather have a 6-pack or 12-pack than just 1 more song. But if I had to choose one, "Can't You Hear Me Knockin" was my favorite GH2 song and I've been hoping to see that added to Rock Band for a long long time.

Why are people expecting the moon (not Keith) with the 20 free DLC. Sure, there might be top shelf bands in the 20 free, but I think people are seriously getting their hopes up expecting bands like the Rolling Stones. If they could have gotten the Stones in the game, I'd think they would have moved mountains to do so in time for the disc release. Given the noticable lack of "bonus" style songs on the disc, it just seems so much more likely that the 20 free will be more in common with that then the greatest 20 songs to ever rock the known universe. And hey, if its the later, you won't be disappointed having expected the former. The reverse not so much.

that and Paint It Black are the only two decent stones songs I've ever heard. I would actually like that a lot

I agree to an extent. I mean we definitely will not be seeing The Beatles or Led Zeppelin as a free 20 bonus song.
But like I said earlier, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a band like The Ramones or something. Not to mention, Ramones' songs are all pretty simple; not even close to the difficulty of Megadeth, Dream Theater, or the other new bands Harmonix is bringing in. So I would definitely not be shocked at all if they throw in some big name bands as the 20 free songs, especially if the songs are ones that aren't challenging but moreso party oriented (ie "I Wanna be Sedated" or something alone those lines)

Well, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction and Brown Sugar were on that leaked file list. So who knows.

I agree with ya, I like a small bit of their library. Though it would make a lot of people happy, so I don't mind.

Don't forget Clash, Police, KISS, Ramones, and Weezer being avoided.

I agree with this. We won't get Zeppelin or anything, but I doubt they will all be HMX bands. I can see us getting the rumored Bad Religion, Cake, Blink 182, etc. songs.

I guarntee we will see game standards like the Stones, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, The Police if they weren't on the list i don't remember, probably any bands that were in GH2 and RB but not the RB2 list
