As far as I'm concerned, there are two rock subgenres that went criminally underrepresented in RB1: Classic Rock and 90s rock (the genre, not the period). Between DLC and RB2 disc tracks, Harmonix has made a giant leap forward in classic rock (The Who, Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Miller Band....etc) but there are still some classic rock artists who I feel are almost required for a game like this one who are not present. As for 90s, I was pleasantly surprised to see Lit's My Own Worst Enemy on the RB2 track list. It's not a particularly good song IMO, but it's got great nostalgia value and should be a lot of fun to play. Anyway, here are my lists for the two respective genres:
Classic Rock Superpack (Eagles/Hendrix/Van Halen left out because of GH exclusivity, Zep left out because...well, take a guess):
Eric Clapton - Layla
ZZ Top - Tush
Tom Petty - American Girl
Cream - Crossroads
Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town
Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride
Aerosmith - Blind Man
Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Crossfire
Santana - Anything. I don't care. This game needs some freaking Santana. Personally, I would LOVE Put Your Lights On ft. Everlast. Amazing song.
90s Superpack:
Everclear - Father of Mine
Fastball - G.O.D / The Way (would be AMAZING to sing)
Del Amitri - Roll to Me
Eagle Eye Cherry - Save Tonight
Eve 6 - Good Lives/Bring The Night On/Hokis/Arch Drive Goodbye (Inside Out = massively overplayed. Can you tell I'm an Eve 6 fan?)
Gin Blossoms - Hey Jealousy
Goldfinger - Carry On
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris/Name/Slide
Matchbox 20 - Mad Season/The Burn/Unwell/Real World (Probably their most recognizable song.)
Semisonic - Closing Time (Easily one of the most recognizable songs of the 90s for anyone who grew up in that period.)
Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life/How's It Going To Be/Never Let You Go
Vertical Horizon - Echo/You're A God/I'm Still Here
If you have others you think would be great in RB, post them. Please DO NOT post things like "OMFG I CAN'T BULEEVE YOU FORGOT THE WTFGREATEST BAND OF THE 90S _INSERT-BAND-HERE_". There were bands I deliberately left out because I didn't think their stuff would work well in Rock Band, and some I may have just not thought of.

Thats a nice setlist there, but you forgot that Aerosmith is also a GH exclusive as well. And Hendrix is not a GH exclusive, it's just they will have Hendrix in the setlist for GHWT.

The first half of the 90s superpack i would disagree with but you turned it around with the ending

I wasn't aware that Aerosmith was exclusive. And I heard on these forums that Hendrix was, but I didn't really investigate as I don't particularly want him in RB anyway. My bad.
