View Full Version : Suggestion for Additional Feature in Song Sorting RB2

Not originally my idea, this came from a friend. If it's already been covered, please don't flame.

A buddy of mine plays drums for a couple of hours everyday. He's found that building certain 'setlists' in quickplay really helps him work on technique, etc. Obviously, he has to do this manually everytime now, because of limitations in RB. He mentioned to me how great it would be if in RB2 he could save setlists.

After I thought about it awhile, I realized that's a great idea and thought I'd ask someone about possibly implementing it before RB2 went gold (if it's not already in or too late to code).

Much thanks.

BTW-- 200 posts FTW!

*bump*

Hate to do it, but I'm hoping someone from HMX sees it before it gets too buried.

I don't know if you can save them, but you can make actual setlists without breaks (like the sets in the world tour).

Haven't heard anything about saving setlists but that would be cool. It would give you a method to sort songs however you wanted to. I.E. had a situation yesterday in party atmosphere where it would have been nice to list only female vocal songs. Creating your own setlist would remedy that. I would love to be able to create a list of favorite songs per instrument as well.

Also, predictive text entry for song selection would be great. Enter 3 letters and it limits your song list to those particular songs.

saving would be sweet. but would you be able to do it on an endless setlist (if there is one in RB2)?

Horror story of mine:
friend and i were doing the endless setlist last week, about 10 songs from the finish when we finally decide to take a food break. friend of a friend comes over, d**ks around with the xbox sign in, SIGNS ME OUT AND SIGNS IN A NEW PROFILE. therefore, ending our 7 hours of work.

if we could have saved, we would have finished.

I think you missed his point. He wants to create a set list, then save it so next time he wants to create a setlist he can just load one he played earlier. Saving mid-setlist defeats the purpose, especially in the Endless Setlist. It's Endless for a reason, you're supposed to do it in a marathon session.
