I have saw 2 interviews with this guy on websites and he kept saying the release date was nowvmber 19th. Maybe he got his dates mixed up. They said they are also on short supply this year for rock band so you better get yours fast.

I don't think he means the release date is the 19th. It appears that he means, if you want one, you better get in line the day before.

i was going to make a crack about forgetting about rock band and staying in school for reading comprehension and basic grammar (I have saw 2 interviews...)

but seriously the beginning of the article he linked does make it sound like the 19th is the day. of course we all expect it to be the 20th.

"While Guitar Hero III recently hit store shelves this past weekend, music fans and gamers will have to wait until November 19 for Rock Band to make its debut."

Likely being stupid, but to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was referring to midnight launches. It's not technically the 20th until you go to bed. Which means I may not hit the 20th until sometime around Thanksgiving...

My local retail GameCrazy has lied to me in the name of sales before, but the clerk there assured me that since I preordered back in freaking August that there's no chance I'll be missing mine. The store stops taking preorders after they hit a limit of what they can order from the publisher, so you're guaranteed one in stock.

Then again, game stores nowadays are cheesy, low-rent pawn shops that rarely bother stocking new product because they only care about trade-ins, so who knows...

Ship dates are usually one day before street date. Someone probably went to EBgames.com and checked the ship date.

I'm not worried, the day the PS3 launched they had plenty of left over systems here because I live in a hick town and kids here care more about how loud their truck is or how big their tires are. More than likely there will be plenty of RB bundles to go around here.

A lot of times the release day is the day that the warehouse releases it to be shipped to the stores and the street day is the day it arrives. If you go to gamestop and ask them to print off a release list the list would read something like this

5NOV07 Rock Band (S/D 20NOV07)

It is because the store can expect to see them start arriving as early as the 5th because it is such a huge item and there is no way in hell UPS is going to bring all the pre-orders plus the million other releases in November the day before. Chances are the store won't see them until closer to around the week of the 13th but it could happen earlier.
