Instrumentals CAN Work!

So there's the singer and that means no YYZ, no Jessica, Soy Bomb, Spanish Castle Magic, ect., but what if there WAS vocals? We we could do that by letting the singer say something like, "Testing.......Testing........1, 2, 3." And then that's it, singer's done, enter Jessica. What do you think?

It's DLC. There's no law saying that every DLC song has to feature every instrument, especially considering that I recall Harmonix saying they plan on releasing some DLC which more heavily features one or the other (a pack of really awesome drum songs, really awesome bass songs, etc).

Just make sure that it's noted that it's an instrumental, and I fail to see the problem here. It's not like we're talking about putting it on the disc.

singer's usually introduce instruments by saying something like "Dicky Betts on lead guitar ladies and gentlemen" or something like that.

I believe I read somewhere that the mic also doubles as a tambourine for some songs. I'm sure most instrumentals have some sort of support percussion.

I could be totally off, but at least that option wouldn't leave the singer out.

It's DLC, if the person downloads it they know a certain instrument won't be in that song. I'm willing to bet if HMX released instrumentals they would sell pretty good, especially something like Wipe Out for the drums.

Because the licensing for Jimi Hendrix material goes out like this: you can't try to impersonate the singing of Jimi Hendrix, even if you have the rights to use the song.

So basically you do it completely differently, or you leave them out. Given what the game is about, they left it out. Correct me if I'm wrong.
