Blender Magazine feat: Rock Band vs GH3?

Did anyone see the latest issue of Blender magazine? They had an indepth article about the hype between Rock Band and GH3 and which game seem to be the better. They didn't choose a winner but it's hard to deny that Rock Band has started something fresh and new...

And oh yeah... 19 more days to go!;)

I was reading a Chevy magazine and RockBand was listed as gifts for christmas it said something like,

"Now, I know this isn't a car part, or anything to do with a car, but the awesomness of Rock Band is too great to pass up"

The Blender article is not cool. They rehash a few old chestnuts like Guitar Hero 3 has "70+ songs" but Rock Band has only 45 and that the Rock Band bundle will be $199. :(

They seem very unbias in their article just to be fair and most of their points were just simple facts about each game.

One thing they did mention in the article is that even though GH3 is the title that sold because of the name, RB would be the title that would win the overall battle. The innovation of playing more than one instrument and being able to play in an actual "band" with your friends started something new in music rhythm games.

I hate to sound biased, but I think Rock Band should win because it is something fresh and new. Guitar Hero 3 wasn't really that fresh. It had an awesome setlist (except most of the bonus songs were pretty lame) and the graphics weren't that much better (like that matters). The online play is pretty cool, but I play GH for fun and not competition. I really like the setlist and downloadable content for Rock Band.
