Rock Band 2 Instrument Question

Will rock band 2 be compatible with rock band 1's instruments, or will I be required to purchase the full bundle to get the new instruments?

I really don't feel like shelling out another almost $200, I'm cheap. >.<"

From what I understand, the game will fully support the old instruments.

why does everybody think that the old instruments wouldn't work? it just doesn't make sense to me.

I think more people need to read RB2 previews or search the forums.

So yeah, RB1 instruments will work in RB2, so if you want to, you can just buy the disk and use the instruments you have.
