View Full Version : Hey, shouldn't Harmonix be doing this instead?...

... so I'm writing yet ANOTHER email to a local nightclub, asking them if they'd consider doing a "Rock Band" night, and it struck me, why the heck am I doing this? Shouldn't the marketing folks at Harmonix and EA be doing this?

I'll be happy to recommend bars and clubs for them to send promotional materials to, as they are hopefully far more effective at pitching their product than I am.

So, hey, Harmonix, set up a "Request Club" link, similar to "Request Song", where we'll identify good bars and clubs that seem to fit for Rock Band, and YOU contact them and pitch the game. :)

eep! rock band nights are scary. There is one every sunday here, but im worried ill be the only good person, and everyone else will just be drunk fools.

That certainly is a questionable use of time.

But, I can see the benefit ... it's still questionable. Telemarketing a game to beat karaoke nights, trying to explain how it works... what it costs...

They have guitar hero nights and rockband nights at our local Grizzly's. I have been tempted to go on a Saturday just to see if it is worth all the advertising, but haven't had the time being it summer time and all.

I get where you're coming from, and I don't intend any offense, but I think Harmonix might have enough on their plate without arranging for people to get together and enjoy their games for free in clubs.

If you don't like pitching the idea to bars, then maybe stick to playing at home with friends and drinks.

Totally agree.

If people play it (or see it) in a bar for free, and they like it, they might go out and buy it for their home.

You were free labor for HMX. Now that you've seen the light they'll send a squad to keep you quiet. :D
