does anyone know if schaller strap locks fit on the fender
or does anyone make a strap lock that works

Not by default. You could make them work by removing the strap buttons and then reinforcing and filling the holes with something you could drill & screw into, then screw in traditional strap locks.

Or, you could try some of the weirdo strap locks like this: http://www.zzounds.com/item--DNP7007SI

But any of them that replace the strap button by screwing in, won't work without modification.

Electrical tape works just fine for this purpose. Some pros use it as well, so you can just call yourself authentic ;)
