Is anybody else as excited about this game as I am??!!:) it's coming out next monday for Xbox 360 and PS3, and I will definetly get it (for the PS3). From what I have seen and read it promises to be awsome.

Exactly the same dilema I'm in right now, I have recently bought Ratchet & Clank Future and The Eye of Judgement both great games but since I work a lot of hours during the week I barely have time to play those (not to mention Warhawk) now with CoD4 next week and RB just around the corner I am gona go nuts!!!

GameStop website says it ships on Nov-5 so I suposse you will most likely be able to pick it up the next day if you ordered directly at the store.

I'm still waiting for games I like for PS3...that are also PS3 only, because I already have people I play with on 360...or for PS3 graphics/gameplay and all that power it's suppose to have to destroy 360 in some way, because right now every game seems like they could be on 360 as well.

and I don't like Warhammer or Ratchet and Clank so I'm still waiting for games I like...then I will purchase the som' bich :D

So I'm pretty far off in the game and so far it's been amazing... awesome graphics, maybe the best on the system and the game itself is really intense, I don't know how many times I've died so far...

I've played online a little, only team deathmatch and it's pretty cool... you unlock guns and classes with the more experience you get by doing good in a match...

Overall it's a great game definitely one of the best fps' on the 360

Well I got my copy, played it for a couple of hours, got through the first couple of misions and I wanted to keep going I was so into it, like Raider87 said the game is freaking intense, but I really wanted to test the online play, and I have to say ROCK SOLID!!! played single death match and team death match both awsome, lots of things to unlock, along with extra perks you can give your guy, like extra endurence (more health) extra stoping power, extra bullet penetration, extra sensitive hearing whatever that does (need to unlock it first) and much more.

One super cool thing I liked is the fact the if somebody shoots you almost to brink of death and you are on the ground(seemingly dead) you can still shoot with your pistol. I shot this guy and thought I had him and as I walked by SoB shot the hell out of me....:mad: :o But anyway CoD4 certanily looks and plays great.

When the game pisses you off because you seem to not be able to do a hard mission, the game is good :). I beat it already, and the ending is beautiful, it brought a tear to my eye. Online was a slap in the face to me...I mean really I used to very good at Call of Duty 3 online, like...ranking 1st place on my team or in deathmatch most of the time. This online is different though. I am still getting used to it. I think its because I am only level 10, and some of the people are like level 25+, so they get better weapons, instead of just using the preset weapon classes (which I used at first till I got some better upgrades).

The multiplayer detroys halo. It is faster paced, requires more team work, and allows for less BS. Plus the camo you wear really helps! You have to pay attention because someone crawling on the ground can blend in with the scenery...

i love this game. at first i wasnt gonna buy it cuz im really not a big gamer, and the only thing i was really interested in was rock band...so it's like "why am i gonna buy this game if im only going to play it for two weeks until rock band comes out?" but a friend convinced me to get it for the multiplayer online factor and it's fun and i love the different aspects of the game. much more than just rambo style in resistance.
now im bummed we wasted our money on warhawk...took advantage of that toys r us buy 2 get one free deal. i know lots of people liked that game, but i couldnt get into it. the best part were the dog fights, but even that isnt enough for me. hopefully i can get my friend to sell my copy for $ or credit toward rock band.

but yeah cod4 is definitely a keeper. its so good it got me to venture in the general forum to see what people are discussing about it:D basically looking for tips, cuz i suck at games haha.

So far it's only gotten better as it goes on. The start of "Charlie Don't Surf" reminded me of that trailer/ad for the first GRAW 'cept this actually looks as good as that did in game,maybe even better.

I only rented it since it's apprently so short. Got the last one on either system too wich was strange for 2 in the afternoon and them having 20 copies on 360 and 10 on PS3.

Omg, last night I got the most awesomest evade-death-and-kill-my-stalker kill online. Apparently some dude followed me into this building, I went in to check to see if there were any boagies in there. I bet he was wiggin when he saw the video from my POV.

Yeah I love this game. This game and the Orange Box are amazing. I think this game is a lot better in every which way. I hate shields. That's why this game murders Halo 3 in my eyes. If I shot you with well placed bullets, you go down no matter what. It's a really good story. Remember to keep th controller in your hands after the credits. Mile High Club is a really good mission. I'm not going to ruin it for anyone but damn. Game Over is really freaking amazing. There's a touching moment at the end of that mission. That game makes you want to kill the villian. Multiplayer is amazing. I love using Last Stand. Capping people when they leave you for dead is fun. Great game, great visuals, WOW factor, and immersive multiplayer, GOTY award here we come. If anyone out there is waiting to get this game, you should reconsider not getting another game for this one. Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed are biting the bullet for me and it's freaking worth it. Whoever chose that for an ending song isn't allowed to choose songs for games anymore. If you've got a 360 when the credits roll do yourself a favor and turn on a RATM song or something like that. Just have the remote nearby to hit stop when the credits are over for the funny movie reference.

The end of One Shot,One Kill was actually very EASY. There's a perfect hiding spot,the guy is fine on his own so you can just hide behind a certian building,only had to kill 2 guys untill the chopper came.

Totally....and at least it balances out the teams pretty well...so you'll have a good mix if you do Team Deathmatch

My new favorite gun...M16-A4. Though its burst round, its awesome. Get that with the Slight Of Hand perk and you're set. The firing rate is so much faster than the M4A1.

That's pretty much what I use... the M16 with ACOG scope and the double tap perk with penetrating bullets pretty much puts people down easily, I don't much like the G3 because of the single fire and I'm still waiting to unlock the rest

I'm pissed at the lag. It wasn't there the first night I played. Next day it was horrible. I couldn't get any frags because of it. I'd be shooting someone point blank with the shotgun and see it on the kill cam as me missing completely. It sucked, pissed me off, and as a result was shut off.

I got that a couple of times with the sniper rifle. First shot to the head = nothing. Second shot, center mass = nothing. In the blink of an eye = target gone. Me = WTF?!?!?!11?!1

I dont like the Last Stand anymore...ever since I got Martyrdom...it kills more I think because people forget you dropped a 'nade when you died.

I really dont have the Desert Eagle yet though...but I still recommend it since its an uber badass gun. I use the M1911.

It's not automatically signing me in. And when I try to sign in manually it looks like it's gonna work, freezes and returns back to sign in ( still not signed in ) Other times it freezes completely...and right now it's just going in circles trying to sign in.

BTW I checked all connections, restarted everything and obviously my internet is still working....

I just launched the mother of all air strikes... They were all chillin towards the back of The Bog and I killed their entire team all 8 of them in one air strike... it was a great feeling

We were on downpour, and I just waited by the wall with the crawl hole in it and just took the *****es out as they were crawling through it...got 5...launched an airstrike, killed 3, got 7 launched a chopper killed everyone...It was sexy.

No, the number goes with the military rank. I guess if you are ******ed and dont know military rank (like myself), you can just go by the number.

Today Xbox Live has been f*cking up. Some lobbies will spaz out and freeze up, then unfreeze like 20 minutes later. I know. They are working on it as we speak. Its been happening to every gamer on CoD4. I just shut off my 360 for the night cuz I got fed up with it.

Raider i c that youv been playing Assassisn Creed. I have a question...Which of these 2 games should i get first (the one that i dont get now ill get for xmas) Call of Duty 4 or Assassins Creed? Im wanting something that will stand up to repeat play throughs, fun, and your moneys worth.

I would say Call Of Duty 4 because it has a much higher replay value because of the multi-player and I'd say it's the better game too

I know it was an awesome ending... COD4 had way more "wow" parts than Halo 3 and it's the first game since Half Life 2 that's had me truly impressed
