We all listen to them when they were big. We all had theyre second CD, and though we would never admit it to our friends, we bought the third one.

SO LETS PUT THEM IN ROCK BAND!
The Anthem, Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous, Chronicles of Life and Death, the choices are all there, so choose them!

You know they're your dirty passion.
Your thoughts?

...I think you use the word "all" too loosely.

Speak for yourself <_<, terrible MTV wannabe punk band.

Um...let me check here...hm...nope, doesn't look like I've ever owned any of their CDs. Nor did I care for them outside of the few catchy singles they had, and even then those got old after the third time. Did they actually play instruments even? It could just be the toll time's taken on my memory, but back when I used to watch MTV I saw one or two of their music videos and don't recall any instruments...but that could be time. Still, my main point being is that we didn't all own the CD, as evidenced by my post and the posts before mine. And, of course, Good Charlotte was just a horrible band overall anyway, in my opinion. Couldn't forget that last part...tis my flame shield.

Disagree with those above me.

One of those "guilty pleasure" bands. Some of their songs would be great in Rock Band in terms of how fun and quite possibly how well known they would be. Most people who paid any attention to 'popular' (even though it was generally crap) music trends and bands during the 90's would know songs like "Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous" or "The Anthem", even if they dont like them.

Personally the only song that i really want from them is "Hold On". Give me that song and im set for GC because the rest of their music is kind of eh.

For the post above me: They did play their own instruments and if i recall...every one of their music videos have them doing just that during the video.

Early stuff only. The Anthem is ok.

I own their awesome first album and their not as great second album.

I'd like... Waldorf Worldwide, East Coast Anthem, Festival Song, The Click (undergrads ftw mirite), Walk By (not because it's a good song from their first album or anything but it sounds like it'd be fun on RB), or Screamer. I'd also be willing to play The Anthem, Wondering, The Day That I Die, or The Young and The Hopeless.

Anything beyond that list, hells to the nizzaw.

Those first two sentences and the second to last one could not be more false. My brother was a huge Good Charlotte fan, and when I was younger I had to bum rides in his car while he played Good Charlotte CD's nonstop. I have to admit there are a precious few bands that I hate quite as passionately as Good Charlotte.

Ok, thinking about the first album i think i'd be willing to buy Little Things, Waldorf Worldwide, East Coast Anthem, Festival Song, The Click, and Walk By. Same as ftm's post above me with the addition of Little Things.

Second album would only really be: The Anthem, Wondering, Hold On, The Day That I Die, The Young And The Hopeless, and Movin On.

Guess i havent listened to them in a while and forgot about some of their songs :p

The only songs from them I would play would be I Don't Wanna Be In Love or The River.
I don't like the rest of their music.

Sorry...new Good Charlotte generally...sucks IMO.

Those two songs are the only tolerable ones on the new cd.

Good Morning Revival is their 4th Studio CD

1. Good Charlotte (2000)
2. The Young And the Hopeless (2002)
3. The Chronicles of Life and Death (2004)
4. Good Morning Revival (2007)

But, Some GC would be pretty cool. I'd personally Enjoy it!

I know, that's why I said those two songs. I just don't like any other songs of there's. Except maybe I Just Wanna Live. Vocals for that would be ******ed though.

I should have clarified i was just saying that the newer Good Charlotte sucks to everybody in general. I meant to agree with you but it came out wrong :p

A lot of people seem to hate this band, but I'd buy The Anthem because Elite Beat Agents made that song awesome.

I can see the "boy band" part about as much as i can see calling The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Metallica a boy band, simply because they all have boys in them. But the emo part? Are you being serious? Haha. People are so ignorant these days.

Everything is emo now. You should know this.

Aside from a few hit singles I never gave Good Charlotte a chance until I heard "Keep Your Hands Off My Girl" last year. I had even ignored their first record....so I was shocked when I found myself getting addicted to this much-derided band's music.

I think Good Morning Revival was one of the best records that came out last year. I mean I'd rather poke my eyes out then go out on a double date with either one of the twins...but I was mocked in the 80s for Depeche Mode and Duran Duran, in the 90s for 311, and in the '00s for Lil Wayne before the rap industry woke up. So I have no worries about championing so called guilty pleasures.

Hopefully, we'll get the GC track off the Madden game next month...and maybe The River will show up for Avenged fans. But I'd take anything by them....even the cover songs from Not Another Teen Movie. I would assume that a pack including the Anthem, Motivation Proclamation and Little Things would be one of the best selling dlc packs for the game, though, if it was ever released.

I can imagine the responses of "i dont know about anybody else but i can imagine NOBODY buying this pack except you" and all that already...but i'd say a pack with: The Anthem, Lifestyles Of the Rich and the Famous, and Little Things; Doing even better because its a pretty well known song.

ive never in my life owned a good charlotte cd or even had one of their songs on a burned cd, and i dont want them in rock band, there is no musical talent in the instruments and especially the singing (IMO)

I've never heard their original self-titled debut, but I think most songs off lifestyles of the rich and famous would be decent, and I would really like to see the River if nothing else...

Eh, i've heard many people make the same argument for metal bands i listen to time and time again. Specifically All That Remains and Shadows Fall when they were in GH. People said they had no musical talent and they mindlessly shred and then add some gutteral yells onto the shredding to make their "music". Does this make it true? Nope.

Good Charlottes 'talent' comes in the fact that their songs are catchy (to a lot of people). Hell, i can play every single one of their songs on guitar and i can sing every one of their songs pretty easily (and yes, i can admit that i've done both), but i think they'd make a good addition to rock band.

To each his own i suppose.
