According to dlcstats.com.....
The Pixies (I was sure it wouldn't) did not sell much at all as far as the full album release for Doolittle...even the songs individually got ignored for the most part....The Cars album did better than that and I am glad to see it...I got soo much heat for bashing the Pixies and their no hook songs that are flatter than a pancake...and yet many people like myself ignored this DLC...proof is in the numbers.
Another band, the Mother Hips...people defended them also and when their DLC came out nobody cared..except the band members themselves along with their friends and family....that is also obvious in the lack of numbers they rec'd as far as DLC was concerned.....there are others who didnt sell well but I just had to bring up the Pixies....blah!

Doolittle did not sell well. You still have poor taste in music for bashing Pixies.

I...I'm not sure I give a crap.
What was this topic created for, to prove you were right? Who in their right mind would want to listen to that?

I only bought one of the Mother Hips songs ("Time-Sick Son of A Grizzly Bear"), and two songs off of Doolittle ("Debaser" and "Here Comes Your Man"). Doolittle was an influential album from an equally influential band, but not all the songs appeal to the general Rock Band player.
By the way, I'm considering picking up the other TMH song, "Red Tandy".

Nobody got the "Heroes" cover. I remember reading that it was the least downloaded bit of DLC.

I downloaded The Pixies. Good stuff.
The Mother Hips are the shiz (no, I'm not related to them). Red Tandy FTW.

That would be the impression I get. It's one thing if you want to simply discuss certain DLC songs and their merits within the game. It's quite another if you just want to go on a "NEENER NEENER NEENER I TOLD YOU SO I HATE THIS BAND" tirade. See if you can guess which one is allowed on the forums, and which one isn't.

I bought red tandy by the mother hips and it's one of my favorite songs on drums. the guitar part is a little bit free bird too(though no where near as hard).

I hate the Pixies and The Mother Hips and never bought a single one of their songs. If I could delete their songs off the original disc, I would.
Just my opinion, but I think the numbers show I'm not the only one that thinks their music is dreadful.

Go take a look at the top 40 charts and you can revel in the fantastic musical taste that you and the masses exhibit.

luckily, HMX is a company that follows more than just "the numbers".

It's also possible that all the people who bought Doolittle just play it in quickplay, or another mode where their high scores are not recorded...

I don't know how that got re-opened. I blame demons.
Regardless, my original statement still stands.

Hear hear. The phrase 'to each his own' seems to be lost on some people.
I'm sure the Who pack will sell better than Doolittle, but that won't keep me from thoroughly enjoying both. On the other hand it'll be a cold day in Hades before I'll get the Oasis pack, but I'm pretty sure that there's a ton of people out there thoroughly enjoying that as well, and I'm happy for them. Popularity (or lack thereof) doesn't make a song good or bad. It's all a matter of personal tastes and respecting those of others. Being unable to do the latter is a sign of a rather limited (dare I say childish?) mind.
