View Full Version : More BWT info to be released soon?

For those not intimate with the HMX blog-o-sphere, Mr. Awesome Info Nugget himself, spraynwipe, just posted his new blog.

http://community.rockband.com/index.php?do=/public/blog/view/id_593/

Supposedly, the original one included some BWT info that Sean didn't cotton to, so on Monday he's going to re-post the blog in question on Monday with said omitted content.

But the last time a BWT heavy blog was promised, it was held off for a week in a move that I'm assuming allowed the major gaming sites to let loose their torrent of BWT info first. Does this callous censoring by the mustachioed one portend of another dropping of BWT goodness, or is it just a ploy to drum up hype for a blog?

And if it is new info, what could possibly be unknown that would warrant such an embargo? It seems to me that BWT couldn't physically get any cooler, so what could possibly call for this type of action?

Could it be that Curt Schilling is a playable character?

Could it be that if you FC Tom Sawyer on Expert Drums, Neil Peart himself will materialize from the ether and give you a foot and hand massage?

Could it be that I'm blowing all of this out or proportion but that's okay because this is how I cope with the fact that I still have to wait 18 days before I get my hands on the final build of this gem?

YOU DECIDE! FILM AT 11!

Yeah, online BWT would be a great announcement, but considering that as recently as a few weeks ago it was seriously in doubt as to whether they would even be able to implement this at all, patch or not, leads me to believe that it's not going to be anything about Online BWT.

I'd love to be proven wrong, of course.

The best news I think I could handle is that BWT is available in online AND solo modes. Let everybody who buys this game have access to BWT, regardless of situations and circumstances.

Now that would truly be awesome.

They fixed that in a week.

Never say never. Oops.

Then why would Sean put the kibosh on it?

The only time he activated the censoring stick was for blogs that contained as yet unreleased info. If it's out there, it's fair game for a blog. If not, then Sean goes all ninja on it.

Yeah, I got more of a "Sean didn't have a chance to rubber-stamp this before I had to leave, so I'll post it when I'm back in the office" vibe off of that than a top-secret information thing.

All Canfield said was that Sean didn't approve the blog before he left for the day.

It never said that there was unapproved content. It could just be a timing thing. Sean couldn't get to it in time today, so he'll post it on Monday.

OR... it could be the most awesome news we've heard yet. We'll have to wait and see.

After re-reading the blog, I can see how that could be the case as well.

Guess we'll just have to wait until Monday to find out for sure.
