Rock Band PS2 Release Date

I just received the following reply to an e-mail I sent to HMX back in August (better late than never). :)


In case you haven't already heard (sorry for the late reply!), the
Playstation 2 version of Rock Band is scheduled to ship December 18.
The bundle is going to cost $159.99, $10 less than its current-gen

I wasn't sure it was common knowledge, but I saw Dec 10 being kicked around as the release date, so I thought I'd pass this along.

I didn't check Wikipedia, but news from HMX themselves is better than Wikipedia anyway.

Is the ps2 special edition version really coming out on Dec. 18, 2007? I checked gamestop.com and found that only the game will be sold. I also checked amazon.com and it says rock band will be released Jan. 8, 2008.

Seeing how there's less than two weeks till it's supposed to come out, and retailers seem to be confused about the date still, a delay looks likely. Any information about this would be nice, Harmonix.
