View Full Version : Have you Pre-ordered from Circuit City???

2 weeks ago Circuit city advertised in their weekly Sunday newspaper ad that they were taking pre-orders in-store for $10 down. I went in the day after that ad came out but no one at the store could find the sku do make the pre-order. I got tired of waiting around for someone to figure it out so I said I'd come back later. Its been about 10 days since and I went back again. They still said that they've been unable to locate a sku to make the pre-order and that it was a corporate thing.

Has anyone pre-ordered from CC or is my local store just stupid? They definitely advertised it and they even had it up on a poster in the game section. What's up?

They may catalog it as hardware but the special is for software.

Maybe the employee thought that was obvious and looked for the SKU in software.

i think your local store is just stupid. if they let you do it online, it has to be in their system. maybe it has something to do with what xzyliac said.

If CC have their heas up their backsides, and you've had to returen several times without being able to preorder, why not go to GameStop/EB/Best Buy to pre-order? They would have lost my business. Unless you get some sort of discount there.

Yeah, I have my Gamestop online order I placed a while back as well. But I was hoping to get the CC pre-order in as a back up. I'll try a different store and perhaps they'l know. Either way I think I wait out front on the 20th just to be sure.

Same thing happened to me. Nobody could figure out how to process it, so they told me to order it online. I can't stand Circuit City, but I have the Gamer card there and it gets me 10% off everything game related, so I feel like I should keep trying. Pain in the butt, though.

Those cards are worse than wedding rings.
