I remember hearing about this mode in rock band 2 where you can jam over songs you have stored on your hardrive with the drums. Is this feature real?

Can I use my Zune if it's Linked up? I would hate to digg out cds and rip them to my 360.

yes it's real, you get to pick from 4 or so different drum kits to drum with too.

if the xbox 360 registers the zune as a media player, I don't see why not.

me? I stream all my mp3s from my PC,

That is what I want to do. Stream it.

Maybe you can help me. I have my computer connected to my PC and I can play music off it through my xbox just fine. The problem is not all of my music is there. It seems like it stopped updating my tracks right after I first synced them together. How can I basically have it re-scan my computer to see updated playlist and music?

open windows media player 10/11 go to edit>options and I think it's the "sharing" tab and there should be an option for editing the folders monitored. Sometimes for some videos I have to drag them into my "library" in WMP to get my 360 to see them.
