I have SVR07, and I want to get 08 but I'll probably get CoD4 before I get SVR08. I use to be big into wrestling as a kid. It went to **** though and now it's like watching a nick jr tv show. I guess it's kind of like dragon ball z, I really hate the show and think it's so ***. But the games are just amazing.
SVR08 will be a great game though man, I played the demo and even though it didn't have double stackable tables or the ability to light them on fire. The full version will let you light a double stacked table on fire, which honestly... Kicks ass.

the demo on XBL was atrocious. The TNA game is supposed to blatantly rip off the aki engine so maybe that could be good. SO far nothing has topped NO mercy or FIre pro from back in the day. Actully in all honesty I'd rather just have a really kick ass MMA game. Unfortunately it'd be very hard to get the rights to even all the top 10 fighters of the world. I know there's the UFC game which based on the quick demo they showed looked impressive but any game without fedor would be incomplete.

svr 07, talk about frustrating online play...
everybody pretty much tried the same stuff...a lot of it, quite cheap.
Plus the quitting, your opponent would quit on you as your pinning him and you wouldn't get a Win...only he'd get a loss...he's going to lose anyway so he might as well quit...75% of people did this.

Nope. Played the demo and it seems strong grapples have been replaced by those ultimate control moves wich is a major step back as it limits what's doable. It also seems to get more restrictive every year. Remember when you could play as females in any match? Use them in carrer/season/story? When create-a-wrestler didn't have logos censored? A season mode that was actually worth playing more than twice? Remember tag-teams and crusier weights? When they had the real life champions and #1 contenders in the game instead of leaving them out?
Fire Pro R for me! It might look like crap and not have any announcers but light tube, barbwire, landmine matches and exploding cage matches = win. On top of that it's only $15.

I've always been a fan of the franchise, but will probably rent it before I decide on whether I want to buy it or not.
