So I went to CSULB today and played Rock Band all 'effing day. I am exhausted with awesome. I wound up singing most of the time, but it was a lot of fun to do. Unfortunately at this late stage of the tour, every drum kit had at least one broken drum leading to a sever lack of drumming on my part. From what little I did, I got a nasty opened blister on my right thumb from holding the sticks wrong. :/
On the other hand, the people who showed up were made of god and win. Everyone was super hyper and excited to rock out, and I even wound up auditioning twice! Once for The Awesomes and then again for The Ferocious Awesomes. They're two different bands, I swear. Both times I sang Wanted: and I killed it, if I do say so myself.:cool:
I stayed until they kicked me off of the truck. My videos will be up soon, I hope. But overall, if you're in CA, try to give it a shot even though the drums suck right now. I met a ton of cool people, got free swag, and had a great day. The wait will be excruciating now that I've had a taste. :D
