This will help your PS3, lack of online player issues: http://www.ebgames.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=40530

Even Harmonix play on the XBOX 360 when they go online. Good Luck and Enjoy!

Bummer... can't say I've ever had trouble getting paired with at least one person (granted, full band is another story). But then again, I'm usually on in the afternoon\evening... do you usually try at a different time of day?

I never ever play online, so that's one PS3 user down.

Did you import it? Maybe that has something to do with it, no idea.
Are you online? Helps.

For the one time I did play online, I did it at 10am and was connected to a band like instantly.

Im on a ps3 and i find people quick enough.

It's not that there's no people online, it's just that they aren't joining quickplay pugs (pick up groups). At least, that is how it is for me. I will not join random people for quickplay anymore, because it seems every time I do someone fails and quits mid-song, and/or no one has any DLC!

I'm sick of that bs. I have a group of friends with DLC that I'll play with if I see them online, but most of the time I'll be practicing DLC in solo tour.

I recommend that you check out the 'band wanted' forum, and look for threads there where other ps3 users are looking for people to play with. Hope that helps.

I'm going to guess by your lack of proper spelling, spacing, and punctuation that perhaps you aren't the brightest person in the world and that maybe then your real issue is user error.

I'm going to guess by your run-on sentence that perhaps you aren't making the greatest correlation between grammar and technical knowledge. see what i did there...

Hmm...weird. I've never had that problem.

Finding people online? Never been a problem

Finding people with DLC online? A hassle, but one that I am dealing with

Finding people with DLC who actually picks the DLC to play? Getting into a smaller number now.

Finding people with DLC who actually picks the DLC to play and can actually finish a song at the level the select? We need to deal with fractions of number now

Finding more than one person with DLC who actually picks the DLC to play and can actually finish the song at the level selected AND has more than just 3 or 4 songs bought? Quicker to find Jesus holding hands with Allah while waiting for Moses outside a Marylin Manson concert.

Make sure your router settings (or connection settings) are correct. I have to set my PS3 as a DMZ (De-Militarized Zone) in my router to connect properly. If I don't, I can still get online, check leaderboards, and even download new songs, but I cannot connect to anyone in quick play.

My guess is that you have something like that preventing you from connecting to others properly.

yeah, what kanrei said.

i could turn my ps3 on right now and find two guitarists. finding a vocalist is another story.

I don't think I've ever been able to connect to someone who friend-requests me from the forums. I always get a "cannot connect to session." If I can find them in quickplay and friend-request them afterwards, I never have a problem. I'm set to NAT2, so I'm not sure why there would be a problem, but whatever.

I never have a problem finding people in quickplay. The longest I've had to wait is maybe 30 seconds, and that's really rare. Usually I'm paired up in less than 5 seconds.

I definitely have problems finding people with DLC or people who don't play like douchebags (constantly restarting, failing out on purpose, hogging guitar, etc.).

I don't have a big problem FINDING people to play online with.

However, I do have a big problem finding people to STAY for more than one song. I play expert, choose DLC if I am able to and I almost never fail so I don't understand it.

Oddly enough I can't find ANYONE when I'm a vocalist or it takes like 10 times longer than when I'm on guitar or drums. I really don't understand it because I usually have a very hard time FINDING vocalists when I'm on guitar or drums.

That's really really odd... I almost exclusively play on Vocals on online, and I rarely have to wait longer than 5 seconds to find a group.

Friends don't let friends red-ring. :)

Seriously, though, I've always found people on quickplay... although I'm pretty easy to jump in as I normally sing or play bass anymore.

it took me 30 minutes to find a guitarist

You were on drums?

As a drummer I find groups harder to get into because there are just too many drummers out there. There's no way there are two guitarists for every drummer online. Theoretically if playing guitar you've got twice the chance of getting into a band because there are two spots available to you.

Rather ironically, those of us who don't go online all that much you'll find might be more open to playing the on-disk songs rather than DLC. Thing is, I play DLC pretty much exclusively when offline, so when I go online and play an on-disk track it's almost a case of "ahh, I remember this!". For some of them, it actually has been a while.

When I go online on my PS3, I get bands over twice as fast as I do on the 360... go figure.

Speaking as a PS3 owner, you really were asking for the PS3 haters to come out with that question.

I feel your pain brother. I have been on PS3 and waiting like 10+ minutes to find someone online. It sucks, most of the time i can find someone within a few minutes, but i agree with you, there are some issues that need to be addressed regarding the online multiplayer.
I know its not my internet connection either, thanks.

Well its not that popular among ps3 users.

That's because half of the world haven't even got a release date for the game!

Try checking http://dlcquickplay.com/. Sign up, send a few messages to people with your preferred songs/time/instruments, see if you can get some friend invites and play with them.

It would also require a capital I. Ironic, isn't it?

Back when I still bothered with random quickplay, sometimes I'd find a group within seconds, other times it could take a couple of minutes. Of course after finding a group, there was still the whole issue of having to play with people who were doing all sorts of ridiculous stuff (restarting songs, playing the same songs more than once in the same session, not being able to play at the level they picked, guitars players not sharing guitar/bass, blah blah blah). Better to just go to the band wanted forums or www.dlcquickplay.com and find some other likeminded people to play with.
